For your assumed requirements, if somebody offers you 4 x 2GB al, having the same brand/type at the right price, I would take it 8)

I have 4x2GB DDR2 Corsair if thats anygood? £7 each or £20 for all 4.

4gb DDR2 sticks are like gold dust and if somebody had some i would expect them to be looking for a pretty penny.

Do you run an Intel CPU? If so you will need to check your motherboards Qualified vendors list. Most everyday memory 2GB and above will not work with Intel on DDr2 its very specific. Also most DDr2 of 4GB is ECC I do not think in all these years I have seen DDr2 of 4GB which is not ECC. ECC memory again will not work on most motherboards.

thanks, going to do some more research on my board, looks like it might be faulty.
