I'm after a Compaq Armada M300, with or without the cd/floppy add on base. Doesn't matter if it doesn't have a hard drive or RAM, as I'll be upgrading that anyhow, doesn't matter if battery is dead either.

Screen has to be mint (ie: no dead pixels) doesn't matter if case is a little scuffed as long as no cracks to the outer casing.

Let me know what you have and how much you'd want for it.
Paypal/bank transfer/cash/cheque.

I have a Compaq Presario R3000 Laptop, is that any good to you?
I'm only looking for the Compaq Armada M300, but how much are you asking?
It doesn't have ram, hard drive and the battery is useless. The screen is 15.4" and as far as i can remember has no dead / stuck pixels.

Open to offers
oooh, does have light scuffs but no cracks. Its been very much looked after. And its still under warranty.
As per the rules, it's up to you to put a price on it.
were do you live?
£35 + P&p?
It also has JBL Pro speakers which really do make a difference!
Ok, sounds good to me. Does it come with the charger and any CD's? Boxed? Manuals?
I'll box it up, not in the original box, ill include the install cd's. disk 2 of the driver disk is missing but all is available from compaq website. if you want i'll download them all and put them on a disk. probably wont be able to find the manual. And the mains charger is broken.
oooh, and of course i'll put the warranty stuff in there. in the event you need to use the warranty you may need me to contact compaq if there are any security details. so i'll also pass over some contact details in the unfortunate event something does happen.
Ok, moving to PM.
Still looking for a M300 regardless.
I have one ,not sure I want to sell it now after reading this thread . I bought it second hand from bigpockets for £230 2 or 3 years back ,came with XP ,external floppy and external CD-DVD drive. After reading this thread I just did a google search and lots of folk are using these with Linux and they say there very good . I might just give it ago myself , unless someone wants to make me a very good offer . The unit's in good condition , no dead pixels and I bought a very newish keyboard just after I got it delivered .
It's up to you to put a price on it as per the rules.
Not sure what's is worth now .Certainly no where near 200 notes.
One just went on ebay with everything (including the docking station) plus a wireless card for £90.
Right , I was looking a a while back and there was one for £145 plus £18 delivery . The docking stations had been going for pricy £95 at one time . I'll put a picture up in the meantime while I make up my mind , has all the accessories ,it's running XP with 192mb of RAM .

Well over-priced. Ebay item number: 220309518554
Yeah , that seems a bit pricy for what it is with parts missing .No mention of what the screen is like too .

TBH , I think I would only let mine go for £150 plus P&P . Considering the DVD drive , floppy drive and the new Kensington power adapter would have been about a ton and then I paid £29 for a good newer keyboard .I also got a stick of RAM
Alot of money I know but it is a nice little laptop and I still use it for my accounts and programming my digital cards which was originally the reason I bought it .
I could buy a EEEPC for cheaper and it's higher spec.

Do you have any pictures of the actual dock? + The back of it if possible showing the ports.

No, Mine did'nt come with a docking station .It just came in a box with the new DVD/CD writer ,USB Floppy drive ,Kensington power adapter . XP was pre-installed [theres no CD].I think I paid over the odds for it from Pockets but I needed a one in a hurry after my Sony FG101 got mobo failure after 5 years and that cost nearly a grand . Would never buy another new laptop again . Theres some really good bargains around for S/H models and most are upgradeable .Out of the 5 I have only one was a new one bought about 5 or 6 years ago and 3 were given as freebies . With the help of e-bay the 3 [Packard Bell Easynote ,Advent 8109 and Toshiba S1800 ] have all been upgraded with Ram ,a new screen and keyboards and are working fine .
So it's just the lappy without the dock? I'm after the M300 + the dock. So how much for the basic lappy? No HDD/RAM if that'll make it any cheaper. Also, what cell is the battery?
Na ,not worth me stripping a working laptop to bits and selling it for spares .This is a nice little lightweight laptop without any problems
Good luck with your search anyway .
Ah never mind then.

Still looking people.
I have an Armada M300. Think its a Pentium II or III... very slow. Its got 128MB ram and originally came with Windows 2000 but is running XP. Has no floppy drive or cd but I installed by pre-prepping the hard drive. Hard drive was upgraded to 60GB in the process. Battery has been replaced fairly recently so is holding decent charge. Nice compact design but with this spec its slow under XP.
Let me know if this is what you are after.
If you could let me know if it's the P2 or P3 version then I'll let you know.
Still waiting for the pictures and to know if it is the P2 or P3 version!
Sorry about the wait... would have to confirm 100% but i believe its a P3-600 but still only 128mb ram - sure that can be upgraded easily. If you want to message me a suggestion on what its worth and I'll confirm if i'm allowed to sell it (yes, there is a girl involved :p).
It's up to you as per the rules to price it matey.
