Hi,

I bought a 585 from the 3 website about 3 weeks ago (20th July), with a view to using it for my WiFi iPad, however, I decided to go for a 3G iPad in the end, so I don't need the 585.

I also got it unlocked to use with any SIM card (was going to use it with an O2 SIM).

Boxed, with cable and instructions.

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers,
Kevin.

Yes, I will be interested if the condition is very good as I am looking to give this away as a present.
How much you will be looking to sell for?
Can you take a pic with a paper indicating your name beside?
Many thanks.

Yes, I'll take a picture later, and post it here.

Which SIM are you intending to use this with?

You mention £40 in your listing. I'd be happy with that, including postage, seeing as it is unlocked.

Cheers,
Kevin

Cool, I am happy with the price 8) . The SIM my fren will be using will be different than 3 but I do not see that as an issue once the device being unlocked.
Pending the photo before purchase. Do you have feedback elsewhere like ebay?
thanks.

Yes, got 100% feedback on Ebay. Been with them for 9 years now. My username is lemoore1013

Do you know how to set up the 585 to allow other SIMs to be used? That's one of the reasons I went with a 3G iPad in the end, although I unlocked the 585, I couldn't work out how to change the settings to allow an O2 SIM to work...Doh !

Will post some pictures either later tonight, or in the morning, as I am at work at the mo, and don't get home until after midnight.

Cheers,
Kevin.

Hi, thanks for your response.
Well, TBH, I havent unlock any of the mifi before.
May I ask by which method did u get urs unlocked? Through Ebay? Or the ziril forum?
Have you contacted your code supplier to resolve this issue?

Best Regards

I unlocked it via this guy

http://www.zibri.org/2010/07/huawei-e585-unlocked.html

The problem was, I didn't know what I needed to put in the various password/vpn boxes etc, so I just went for the 3G iPad instead.

I have done a a brief reading on the website you passed on.
Here are some info that might useful for troubleshooting ur issue:
1) you entered the wrong code.
2) you entered the right code on the wrong pc.
3) you entered a right code on a right pc but after it was already used.
4) You entered the right code on the right pc but wrong program
Do you think one of them is the root cause?

BTW, is yr device still working with the 3 sim supplied?
#10
I'm not entirely sure which particular code you are referring to?

The 585 unlocked fine, it is just the mobile phone SIM APNs/passwords I didn't have access to, so couldn't put them in the relevant boxes to allow access to the O2 SIM I was going to use.

The SIM iteslf was recognised OK after the unlock. Before I unlocked it, if I put the O2 SIM in, it gave a message saying (something like) wrong SIM inserted. After I unlocked it, the O2 logo appeared in the window of the 585 (meaning it now accepted the O2 as a valid SIM), but I couldn't connect to the 3G signal because the APN/password for O2 was not entered. It still had the 3 APN/password details.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your informative response.
Sorry for my mis-understanding.
Jus wonder have you tried to pop back ur 3 sim and play around with the internet setting?
Maybe this will help. 8)

Thanks for that info. That is probably what I needed two weeks ago !!!!

I shall try the 3 SIM in later tonight (no 3 3G signal where I live, so will try it in work tonight and see how it goes).

I'll report back here tomorrow and let you know the results.

Thanks,
Kevin.

As you can see, the "No Network" message on the display is because I am not in a 3 3G area.

I also wrote in white marker on the charger (to help keep track of all my different chargers). This should come off if you need it to.

Let me know if you are happy to go ahead, and we can finalise this and I'll get it shipped off to you tomorrow.

Cheers,
Kevin.

Hi Kevin,

Many thanks for the image and additional info regarding to ur mifi.
Yes, I am happy to go ahead finalizing this deal (I presume there is no damage on the mifi device from the back :D).
To complete this sale, can you send me a pm with your home address, home contact number, and bank account?
Besides, since I will be paying the whole amount (£40) through bank transfer, can I ask you to send the same msg to my ebay account jus to confirm you are genuine seller? my ebay account is takahwang (exactly the same as the username here).
I would be appreciated if you send the item with first class recorded :)

Many thanks. Looking forward to hear from you.

Excelent. Will PM you shortly, and send a message via Ebay too.

Here is a pic of the back, which I took at a slight angle as it is easier to see if there are any scratches or marks (which there aren't) from an angled picture.
