Do you mean 802.11b (that is B)?

Most people nowadays use 802.11g (that is G)
#2
I have a Buffalo USB one as detailed HERE Mint in box though I have lost the original drivers disc but have a copied one

£10 delivered ?
#3
I have a [email protected] USB 802.11b adapter, boxed with drivers that I would do for £5 delivered.

Note : dont think it does WPA, only WEP.

Don't think my computer has a pci slot, or atleast it's not obvious if it does

If your pc looks like this

Then it will have pci slots. They are inside.

You have 4

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2300/techov.htm#1101565

On the back of your PC you'll see these metal blanking strips (the things on the bottom left here)

You just need to take the side of your case off, pop one of them out and then plug the PCI card straight into your board. The back part where the aerial goes will then come out of that hole.

The benefits of the PCI card is you pick up more wireless networks (I think it's because it uses more power), it's tucked away nicely and you don't have to worry about it.

The benefits of the USB dongle is it's portable and you just need to plug it into a USB socket.

The USB one does do B so it's your choice, it's just a cheap one from Deal Extreme i'm looking for £5 delivered, the PCI card is this one i'm looking for £10 delivered.

I don't have the boxes for either but do have the driver CD's (somewhere lol)

Edit - Oh carp your a Spurs fan so it's £10 and £20 delivered respectively ;-):p:whistling: Only joking!

It shouldnt matter which you use. But I would recommend getting a 802.11g capable card as its a lot better than the old and slow 802.11b.
