1. What do you need it for ? Games?
2.Card with 1gb of memory DDR2 will be significantly slower than the same card with 256mb DDR3
3.Newer cards are usually quite power -hungry so check your PSU first
4.How old is the computer ? Slow CPU may limit utilisation of power of the graphic card.

THIS is a decent, cheap AGP card - 7600gt 256mb DDR3

Better one (and more expensive) - ATI X1950pro 256 mb

..and probably the best - ATI 3850 512mb DDR3
Don't really need it for games, really just need it because it's the only bit of my comp that i haven't upgraded.
Could do with DVI or HDMI as my new monitor has HDMI.
Its a fairly old system 2.6ghz P4.
Really i need to put a graphics card im my son's comp.
So I thought may as well replace mine and then put my old one into his, he only has the onboard graphics.
I don't mind second hand either.
Thanks for the suggestions,I will have a better look at them later.
check out the x800 it will do what you want it to do and has a dvi connection
