i have a nvidia 6800, really would like to sell rather than trade but could you give more specs on the cards you have for trade plz

U sure the 6800 is AGP?
have googled the cards model number and yes it is the platinum edition according to the ati/amd website so it does have the vivo ability and svhs interface.
Appreciate the need to sell but as this is a really silly project don't want to spend much on it ;) anything else you need?
bloody typical i gave my nephew a 600agp a few weeks before xmas:(

yes definately agp, the thing is i shouldn't really do an exchange as i wanted to upgrade my Motherboard and get a pci expressx16 slot so i can get better gpu's.

i know you also have a pci-e card but would need something better if i upgrade.

anyway, whats the deal you willing to do on the card swapping, are you willing to pay something on top?

i also have a winfast a350 lx card (basically a fx5900 that has been made faster)

this is AGP as well.

got fans and mice, nowt special though otherwise i have a workshop packed with kit but mainly functional stuff, ie nothing esoteric hence far too much to list.
Was pretty much looking to do a straight swap as the x800/pcie 6600 and the agp 6800 are pretty much on a par ebay value wise.

hmm, well im not too fussed to change cards to be honest, but if you could give an optical mouse and a decent quiet case fan(prefer one with l.e.d on it) with the x800xt then we have a deal.

cos if you really think about it, i would be swapping and spending money to post as well when i really don't need to, let me know,

thanks

i would want the agp x800xt, if the ide cables are round ones then i might have what you can give could do with some sata cables, well basically what ever you can afford to send as i don't want to bump up your postage cost.

Anyway apart from this deal you wouldn't have a decent AMD socket A (462) motherboard in your workshop would you?

actually i wanted to ask, you seem like a guy who tinkers with pc's, i actually have some overclocking RAM, ddr500, ddr550, would this interest you at all?

i have 1gb(2x512mb) of geil ddr500, pc4000. £25 delivered

and also 1gb(2x512mb) of corsar ddr550 pc4400 £28 delivered

i do tinker and i work with them but don't bother with overclocking much, more interested in alternate paths to performance, also have 2Gb of GEIL 6400 memory sat on my shelf already, as well as 4GB(2*2GB) Kingston 1066
I do have an Asrock k7s41 i set up last week to test windows 7 with so know its working nicely, what you thinking?

the thing is i already have a socket a board but i am having some issues with the gpu, i have installed 2 different gpu's (both agp 8) and they both have some artifact issues, even when just browsing the net. i thought it would be because of the 1.5v warning on the mobo, but it seems that nearly all agpx8 card are 0.8v or 1.5v, so i am unsure of what the problem is,don't suppose you would know would you?

damm could be a million things, assuming you are not overclocking, try the original drivers that came with the cards, many cheaper brands do not stick to the reference designs so later drivers that push performance up may cause these issues.
Also try with and without agp drivers for mainboard, which chipset is the mb?
The voltage warning is about fitting earlier agpx2 cards which can draw too much power from x8 slots damaging them so does not apply here.
What game?, some are just so badly written, assuming you've tried diff mem as agp cards buffer off main memory, too much latency there can be an issue.
Check theres no overheating and try diff agp aperature settings in bios, also what cpu?
