What size of am2 you after as scan have some for a good price.
hi thanks for the link bit much for want i wanna pay. After really something like the AMD CPU AM2 4200+ Athlon 64 X2Dual Core Socket AM2 or the AMD CPU AM2 4600 Dual Core Athlon 64 Socket AM2 micro direct have some good prices but never have any stock its the one website that always seems to hold no stock on most items.
If you are not in a hurry, check ebuyer.com as they often come with cheap amd's cpus.Few months ago I bought X2 3800+ Windsor 1mb OEM (immediately overclocked to 2.6) , and paid for it something like £23-24.
Another place you could find interesting is 'clearance lines' section at overclockers.co.uk

you can get brand new (although difficult to check it) X2 4200+ for £34 delivered on ebay.
You could try your local PCWorld :o

I picked up a Socket AM2 4800+ Athlon 64 X2 from local pcworld last week for just under £30. Didn't expect them to have any at all being as they don't list any AMD cpus on the website now - but thought it odd that they sold AM2 motherboards and not processors - so just tried them on the off chance.

It's retail boxed with cooler, and the later 65w version.
