Basically i want to upgrade my processor on my socket A motherboard from a Athlon XP2200+, and it will support an Athlon XP 3200+.

Will consider as either part of a system or on it's own

You would probably be better off investing in a cheap am2 board and cpu only slightly more expensive better upgrade and cheaper for further upgrades, upgrading even to athlon 3200 will only you an extra 300mhz or so hardly worth it

I've not long bought an GeForce 7600 GS OC (AGP) so any upgrading i would be doing is on a replacement AGP motherboard

i have an athlon XP 3200 for sale, you can have the cooler as well if you want to pay for the postage.

I think it is a Thermal Take volcano cooler.

i just upgraded to a dual core rig so the CPU is just sitting in its anti-static bag unused at the moment.

make me an offer and i will consider it

I'm interested, but i believe you are supposed to name the price. I am not sure how much they are worth, so i'll start at £20

Can i just check, it is the XP 3200 and NOT the 64bit one?
