Hey I have a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro Lens, I originally brought it for a trip to Madrid, and planned to use it this year, but moving house so can't afford a holiday lol. It's pretty much as new, with case, and original box also Kenko UV filter, looking for £100, this includes special delivery.

I was using it on a 400d, its not had regular use because I do music photography, only used it for travel once.

more info here - http://www.onestop-digital.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=275
where i bought it from last year.

Hi Stacey,

I may have a couple of lenses that you may be interested in. One 75-300mm + one that is 55-200mm.

You can find the thread with my lenses in here.

All the best.

Give us a clue.... :)

What do you want it for?

How much do you want to spend?

How good are you with a camera? Hobbyist, looking to make money or just learning?

Good place to look at lens reviews, this guy is a pro photog and has tested most of lenses out there, Canon, Sigma and Tamron.

Some people might say you may need a faster lens for motorsports etc, lower F speed (as im sure you know) but that is obviously going to cost you alot more aswell.
Also you've got to factor in the 1.4x crop, so the 70mm-300mm goes 98mm - 420mm
sorry if you already know this.

Thanks for the info.
Do you think a 50mm - 220mm would be better??

Thanks again,

It would work out to 70mm - 308mm so it does fit in to the lengh requirements, but to be honest I've never really looked into lenses that lengh.
It is best to look around at some reviews, there is a small photography forum thing on avforums.com who have always been more than helpful with advice for me, so maybe ask there. If you are shooting motorsport in daylight then the f4-5.6 should be fine, but lowlight you might need something faster, but its a difficult compromise with price/speed etc.

If you can, have a look at this lens.

Tamron 70-300mm F4/5.6 DI LD Macro (Canon AF)
Can be picked up from £100 -£199 really varies from E-bay to Jessops

Works nicely as a budget on the 350D, with nice reach.

Motorsports Photog. is an incredible learning curve and takes a lot of patience.

Another good place to ask questions and look for info and inspiration are the canon-forums over at Photography on the net there is a specifc Motorsports section full of really good advice.
