Hi I am looking to get either a new Iphone or one that is a few months old but with no scratches if possible.

I would prefer to pay with Paypal as its the safest option IMO.

I am looking to pay around £240 if used and a bit more if new !

you can get them new on the Apple store for £269!

Get a new one. You'll probably end up paying the same as what you are offering (after vouchers and quidco) but you'll have a new one!!

Almost, you'll need to activate it first which is easily done do a search for ziphone or look at www.modmyifone.com

Be warned though Apple stores are starting to get you to activate the phone before you leave the store, O2 don't have the facility to do so.

Since when?
I bought a new one in Manchester's Apple store on the 9th of Feb and they didn't ask me to do a thing.

Are there any other sites you can buy the iPhone from and get money back through quidco? Apple store only gives 3% =( I'm talking about the phone only, I don't want a contract.

You don't have to take the contract out. You buy the phone and then if you want you activate the contract using iTunes.

You have the option of unlocking the phone yourself, or signing up to the O2 iPhone tarrifs

Not any old O2 sim will work. You can only officially use O2 iPhone tarrifs on the handset.

As far as I know the only places selling the iPhone online are:
O2
Apple
eBay
Carphone Warehouse (I think)

O2 will probably be your best cashback rate, but check around! I'm not doing all the work for you

Tell them it's a gift for someone so you can't open it in store unless they don't want it and you can't activate it there for the same reason.

Am I gonna have a problem using jailbreak if I get the 1.1.3 Iphone or is it just as straight forward?

Where did you buy yours from Tillboy?
#15
from an O2 shop, if you buy online you can get £35 quidco, I got a bit impatient though and O2 tracking isn't the most reliable

Note that if you do this you wont get access to the free internet etc (more than half the reason why you should get an iphone) so it may be a better deal if you speak to o2 and change your contract to the iPhone contract?

I belive (and correct me if I'm wrong) if you had an O2 contract before a certain date, they will cancel your current one for you and transfer over to an iPhone tarfiff. I know the cheapest one is £35 but at least you now get a reasonable call / text allowance as well as "unlimited" edge data.
