  you cant pay rrp of £99 for them anymore though as they arent available and the reason they go for so much is that they are very hackable - have a look on eBay at the prices they go for - I managed to get one for £80 over a year ago second hand - I could easily get nearer to £200 for it now...

  apple tv 2 prices have gone through the roof . I would imagine that this is due to them being able to run xbmc . Ive one here and they are great but theres no way would i pay £200 . Ive also got a apple tv 1st gen which does everything the appletv 2 does and more cause its got a 160gb hardrive . Take my advise get a appletv 1st for half that money , it will work just as well and you can even upgrade it with a crystal 1080p card . Its a no brainer , apple tv 1st gen are always on gumtree etc for sensible money

  I think you are right to be honest.
  
  If I buy a block of gold 20 years ago for £100, I can sell on here (if gold sales are allowed) for £1200(ish).
  
  Don't see a problem, if the product is NO longer available, surely it can be sold for whatever the buyer and seller wants?
