Wanted: Best Possible Memory Stick for PSP w/ Custom FW

Just bought a PSP and I need a memory stick for it. I am a complete n00b to the world of PSPs and PSP homebrew on here so I will just describe what I am after and if you could please suggest what type of card would be best and if you have any for sale along with a price.

I am looking to buy the best card possible, with the highest capacity and transfer rate (Wikipedia suggests a Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo 16GB stick with MagicGate support would be best but I am not finding any of these on Ebay, do they exist?). The PSP I have bought already has custom FW on it but not the latest version so I will likely be looking to upgrade it soon, not sure if this is a factor or not.

If you have a card that fits this bill, or comes close please name your price. Or even if you just have an opinion or some advice for me would greatly appreciate your response.
Shipping/Payment:
Name your price and I will be looking to pay via PayPal gift or bank transfer.

21 quid for a 8gb genuine stick was a deal on here a while back
seems to be the best gb to pound ratio :)

they have a
SanDisk 16GB ULTRA II Memory Stick PRO DUO £89.99 DELIVERED

Sony 16GB Memory Stick PRO DUO Mark 2 £99.99 DELIVERED

beware there are a hell of a lot of fake cards around

and ebay is full of em

Wow those 16giggers are expensive. Guess I will stick to 8GB sticks for the moment. Anyone got a used one for less than the linked by mattmerch?

Thanks for the post mattmerch thats very helpful. Have some rep.

I bought this 8GB from dealextreme - it may be fake, but it runs everything on my PSP just fine, and only £13.50 delivered http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12796

dealextreme memory cards definetely fake they dont even brand them anymore

good points are cheap

bad points slow transfer rate and no magic gate support
but if you can live with that u wont get cheaper

i would rather pay 7 quid more for a genuine 8gb stick

Yeah don't want to get a fake card, would rather spend that little extra and get something non-dodgy

I am tempted to go for the MyMemory one unless someone here can offer me something cheaper

Something else to consider would be that once you go over 4GB you can no longer format the memory stick as FAT, you have to use FAT32.
Not 100% but I hear that FAT32 is slower on the PSP (especially with the more recent firmware versions)

Check this thread (updated constantly) for best prices on memory cards (of all sorts)

Note that you may be able to get better deals using PC World's price match promise. I got myself a 4GB pro duo sandisk for around £8
