For my mum, whose telly has just died. A big, or biggish CRT TV. No flatscreens, or HDs or anything like that please. As close to Hebden Bridge, or Halifax, as possible for collection. Oh....yeah, name your price, but as low as poss please as she's one of those pensioners.

Or Stockport, as that's where we live and there's a possibility we can collect and then take it over to my mum's.

Leeds is a little too far. Well, a lot too far actually. But thanks for replying. And thanks for the advice you gave me a few weeks ago about the singstar mics too :)

Just been looking on a map and Keighley seems to be kinda middle ground distance wise if you wanted to meet there? I think the TV is 18" not 20, but not sure off the top of my head.

And no problem about the info.

18" is no good for her with her big telly specs on. Really appreciate you looking for me though.

NP, good luck with the hunt.

Check out the freebie section in your local Gumtree and join your local freecycle site too. There's CRT TV's going up all the time on those places, normally from people who have replaced them and can't be arsed to take them down the dump! Worth a shot if you have no joy here.

Have you tried Yorkshire Freecycle

The local freecycle (Calder Valley) is reluctant to take on any new members. Thanks for the tip though. I'm still looking.

You should be able to pick one up for free really - I gave mine away on here a while back - good brand 28".

Good luck.

Ok, consider this a bump, but I'm going to widen my search to Stockport and Tameside as it occurred to me we can pick one up locally and deliver in on Mother's Day. Anyone able help?

Well again I'd consider joining the Stockport Freegle group - there are TV's on there all the time.

Got a Sony 32" CRT complete with stand and remote, it's 100Hz, good condition & picture, plus excellent sound. It did reach £50 on ebay but the buyer pulled out; I was going to relist it but you can have it for £45 if you want. Collection from Hyde so just down the road from you, LMK if interested...

Can you post a pic or two please? This might well be what we're after.
