Looking to give blackberry a go after using Symbian and WM6

So what do you fellow HUKDers have for sale

There are so many BB model out there I am not going to pin this want down to any particular model but would really prefer 3G and wifi - GPS would be a bonus!

Must be unlocked or on O2 and must be de-registered for BBS and have Blackberry PIN available.

Let me know what you have and at what price including shipping.

Thanks

I am interested - just asking my unlocking mate about the cost of unlocking.

Just to check - the software is not Orange branded? is the case Orange branded? Is it definately PIN released from Orange?

sorry my mistake, I have just had a look it is orange branded at the bottom, shame as the case is perfect - no scratches etc, im sure you could get another case for it if you still wanted to got for it.

how would i find out if it is pin released? i had it connected to a blackberry enterprise server so only used those features.

If you are the Orange account holder you would need to call Orange CS and check. they will tell you if it is PIN released.

this point is very important because I or any other buyer would not be able to connect it to another blackberry service account as the device can only be connected via one account to RIM servers.

thanks for that - sounds like it is released - you should have the pin somewhere I guess - but worth checking with Orange.

I will get back to you tomorrow when I know about the unlocking cost and I double check with O2 that they will change my web bolt-on to blackberry services for the same price

Hi smoles

OK good news is that I spoke with O2 and they will change my bolt-on to BIS free of charge.

but also spoke to my unlocking guy and the unlocking is not as cheap as I hoped because its on Orange (apparently they do not use default unlock codes so its going to cost between £10 and £13.

So as this is my first venture into the world of Blackberry the best I could offer you is £70 shipped, but shipping can be by normal post as I am away on business for most of next week anyway.

Let me know if this is OK please. If so could you post a couple of photos to comply with the regs here? Also can you confirm it is PIN released?

thanks

just working on getting it pin released today, with Orange at the moment, will chase in a bit.

I could do it for 75 if that helps, I really wanted 80 + delivery - as mentioned its in perfect condition!

If you are still happy, I will get some pictures up and let you know what Orange have said (they have confirmed that they can do it though) you are expecting a pin number is that correct?

Tell you what - meet you half way ish - £73 and there is no desperate rush as i am away most of next week and I do not want to loose on it if I do not get on with the blackberry concept. not looking to profit on the deal or anything but don't want to be out of pocket if I don't like blackberry. Hope you understand :) Can pay by BT if you like. You have good feedback so no real problem for me.

If that's Ok post some pics and confirm that it is PIN released - that's the real issue because of registering it with O2 BIS.

cheers

Hi, Orange still havent got back to me yet, I did speak to them and they appeared confused at my request?! (they asked if i wanted the pin number for the phone or for it to be unlocked!) If it simply needs to be unlocked to any network can you tell me if they unlock the phone over the network or just give me a pin to unlock the phone myself? am i right in saying that asking for a pin release is simply the same as getting a normal phone unlocked or does it just enable you to connect to another blackberry service? I only ask as since it was previously connected to a BES server so was not connected though an opperator blackberry service.

I dont want to hold you up on this one, if you want to go ahead and get a device elseware of course do, if you are happy to wait until i have confirmation from orange that it is released i will accept £73.

once again sorry about my questions - really dont know about this side of it!
