Yes, this is a 3.5" IDE desktop hard drive. The drive's file system will depend on what your media enclosure formats it as/you tell me to format it as before shipping. :)

So yours is an ide hard drive then, I have a http://www.amazon.co.uk/Emprex-ME1-Media-Player-Recorder/dp/B0015RQRSG and had a 500gb hard drive in it but the hard drive broke so I wanted a cheap hard drive to replace it, would yours do the job?

Yes, if the enclosure accepted a 500GB drive, this 180GB one will work fine too.

Did you check the warranty for your old drive? If you bought the drive separate from a computer it may still have some left?

I dropped it so it has mechanical damage, and I bought the hard drive and enclosure together. Would you take £13 if you delivered via royal mail 2nd class?

Acording to Royal Mail postage calculator 2nd class "non-recorded" would save you £1.30 on postage, which brings the price down to £14.70.

Post the make/model/serial number and I will have a look in regards to the warranty.
