decent laptop doesn't mean top of the range, just means, needs to be in good working condition, that is more than capable of running xp, probably should of explained a bit better, lol:thumbsup:

mate try ebay, like collection only.
or in a radius of 25miles, you can get some bargains :)

is it in good condition? any scratches dead pixels?

how long does the battery last for say when you browse the net on wifi? actually does it have wifi?

also how much and are you interested in any trades?

No faults, has a sticker on the lid, £75 is too low, not sending first, and not interested in your trades, can send pics if your still interested.

ive got a gateway mx6635 in a gateway mt 6835 (ma7 case) and is in very good condition running windows xp
100gig hdd, dvd writer , 15.4" glossy black screen , 4 x usb, firewire, modem, ethernet, built in wifi , memory card reader, think its 1 GB ram, pcmcia slot etc....
cant rember full spec. but probally can check with device manger
has a fault where you have to wiggle power adapter to get it to charge (intermittent sometimes will sometimes wont)
seems to be the power pin on the mobo thats the problem
they are about £5 to buy off the bay and just needs soldering on
or people charge about £40 to do it
i found on google a complete step by step on how to assemble/dissasemble the laptop and is very easy, takes about an hour 1st time you do it,
also got a step by step on how to replace the power adator on the board
i have put the laptop in a more up to date gateway case (ma7 case) a more stylish case
i have been charging the battery in another gateway laptop that has a smashed screen and faulty mobo that i bought off ebay but can throw that in too
would be looking for £100 minium for the working laptop with the faulty pin cost £499.99 when new
and if we can come to some arrangement you can have the broken one too to charge it
can post pictures if you are interested

Sorry forgot to mention the battery life isn't great.

But to be honest, i'm not letting it go for any less as it's still a reasonable price....
