Thanks but was looking for something a bit faster and it's a bit pricey for low spec stuff. I can get mobo/ 3ghz cpu combo from the bay for about £35
#12
Price is negotiable..... but if its too slow for your needs. Good luck in your search.
#13
Thanks was looking for something just a bit faster..... around the 2.5 - 3.0 ghz speed

also only need mobo, cpu, and ram. i have everything else

Hi,
I have a p4 2.8 or 3gig (can't remember) with Hyper threading...
comes on a board with 2 512mb ram sticks. Also have a seperate ati agp low profile graphics card (has built in but back in those days built in was seriously bad) Just so i could play CS ok. its part of a hp d530 small form factor i have left, so have the case/psu and a 300gig ide drive if you were interested.... As for price. Well if your interested i can get you exact specifics and we can talk.
#16
interested in the mobo, cpu, and ram. i have everything else including graphics card, hdd, case , and psu
#17
ok. will check exact spec tomorrow, Will try see about postage for it as well. I honestly dunno what it is worth, so will also have a look on ebay for reference. Is there anything specific you want to know? Cpu fan is still on but the yellow lead has been cut previously by accident, is only the speed readout but has been joined.
#18
Don't need to know anything specific really, just a price. Looking for something cheap as it is just for the kids.
#19
ok looked on the good old flea bay and its maybe about 40-45 for one delivered. So how does £32.50 delivered sound?
#20
what does that include ? can you be more specific about the cpu speed ?

edit* there's a couple of 3ghz with mobo and ram on ebay for around £35 del and a couple of 2.8ghz for £30 del.
If it's a 3ghz i will offer £30 del and if it's 2.8ghz i will offer £25 del
#21
hi, just checked, it is a 3 gig HT. £32.50 would be for the motherboard/CPU/CPU fan and 2x512mb Ram sticks.
#22
£30 del via paypal gift ? And seeing as you only have 1 feedback here and i have near 100 would you post 1st and i pay upon testing the goods ?
#23
I have no issue with posting first given your feedback and my lack of feedback. Care to meet me in the middle? £31.25? just am a bit worried about postage costs!
#24
yup deal at £31.25. Will PM you my details now

hi, just checked, it is a 3 gig HT. £32.50 would be for the motherboard/CPU/CPU fan and 2x512mb Ram sticks.

Hi. Recieved this this morning. Will install later on but it did not come with 2x 512mb ram. It came with 2x 256mb ram. making the total 512mb and not 1gb as i was expecting.

What can you do about this ?
#26
oh blimey, Thought it was 1gb not 512mb. I do apologise. Well obvs theres two choices me old mucker!
1)You can return said item?
2) If the item is still good then we can come to some arrangement?
Please let me decide. Prob should test it first to ensure all is well. Did you manage to put the heatsink back on properly? The thing is a proper jigsaw!
#27
just now opened it about 5 min ago. We are getting ready to go out now for a few hours so will install and test when i return later this afternoon. Taking the family to ST Fagans.

So aslong as it's all in working order i would still want it and we will work out something
#28
oh ok,
st fagans?
well shall we say £25 plus the postage of 4.41 all in then?
#29
i would do £25 inc the postage as it's gonna cost me an additional £10 - £15 for more memory. If you don't want to accept £25 then i can send this back to you for £4.41 postage. Do you have any more pc3200 memory there you could send ??

Am off out now so will deal with it when i return
#30
Hi,
know you won't get this till later. I am sorry, it was an error on my part. I think the package is worth more than £25 delivered. But i have made an error and so i would accept that £25 as a gesture of goodwill. It makes more sense given it is with you already. So i have pm'd you my paypal addy and if you could gift that would be splendid. Honestly am sorry again, memory is going nuts!
#31
got amd 3800+ 2.4ghz
abit ul8 motherboard
agp graphics card 64mb
#32
Ok i am back. Had a great time thanks. Ran into another problem. No screws to re-assemble the heatsink-fan. I have load of ordinary screws but this takes some of the longer ones. Do you still have those ? Not being fussy but it's nothing what i expected to recieve. Do you stil have the disk for the drivers ? It's a HP mobo and from what i've seen on the net drivers are hard to find and winXP won't pick up the sound and lan drivers. Not fused about the drivers anyways as i could find them if push comes to shove. But can't re-assemble the heatsink-fan.

how about you send me £4.41 and i send it back to you as it's not what was offered to me.
#33
The screws should be in there. Is there no screws in there at all? have you checked the box completely? Because i don't have them here?!?!
The driver disk is long gone. Never mentioned it as never thought it was relevant. The drivers are simple to get off the net and more up to date than what was on the disk. Can provide a link if needed?!?!
#34
well like i said the drivers are no big deal. I have completely checked the box and no screws in there. In order for me to use this i would have to buy a new heatsink-fan also. So it'll probably be better for you to have it back as i can get one of the same spec for less than i would have to spend to get this one working correctly
#35
please don't think me rude, been a weird week. Checked downstairs where i had it and nothing. Very strange. Which screws is it your talking about? the ones to attach the fan to the heatsink top?
#36
yup and that attaches the heatsink bracket to the mobo. Not sure which screws would work for that.
#37
let me go double check...
REgardless of the outcome, need to sort something out eh? Right
Well it has cost me £4.41 to send it and it would cost me £4.41 to get it back and then i am still left with a board i don't really have a use for. I know it is not perfect for you in its present state. But how about if we said £15? Given that would be £10 off the last price which would easily buy a suitable heatsink or allow money to get this one fixed. I just want to find a suitable solution. And if i find the screws downstairs when i go for a look i will send them on and then you might have a sorted board for £15. Obviously i am offering this to cover for my mistakes here! and to save further hassle! It is a good setup, just me trying to juggle to much i fear!
#38
right the drivers are on hp's site. Well easy to get. Search google for "D530 sff" and follow link to hp site and their there!
The screws that hold the heatsink to the board are actually ones that fix the motherboard to the case. It would need holes in the motherboard in the same place. My new board doesn't line up there, i have kept them with the case. So unless your case has threaded fixing points i don't see how it will help but i can send them if you are interested in the above. I can not honestly see the fan fixing points at all. I therefore will stand by the above. If a board and processor delivered is worth the £15 delivered then coolio, if not let me know and i will arrange something else.
Cheers
Tony
#39
i'll accept £15 for the cpu and ram but without the screws for the motherboard it's useless to me and i'll probably just chuck it in the bin and buy another. Can i wait until i get another mobo for payment as thats the only way i can test it without the mobo being able to take the heatsink-fan ?
#40
ok, will have a massive hunt round and see if i can find them anywhere. can't think where they could have escaped too. So if you want to keep the board for a few days and i'll see what i can find.
