I bought some cheap Technika PC speakers in Tesco just the other day.

Reduced from about nine pounds to about seven pounds fifty. Not great but they sound OK.

They also had some "value" ones at about 7 pounds.

ive got some Medion 5.1 speakers

http://www.digitalworld.ro/produse/424/i600.jpeg

These would want like £20 delivered mind.

You say your monitor speakers are crap, cheap speakers will provide next to no improvement, if you are looking at say argos £6.99 ones.

Just i would say that

not intrested in spending that much m8, thanks anyway

main reason im getting some is coz the monitor sounds cuts out from time to time

have to agree, cheap speakers sound poo and nothing u can do about it.

5.1 like what hamm has would be a great improvement, maybe a 2.1 but speakers for £20 will be so much more better than £5 ones.

what ever you do dont buy the tesco value pc speakers, i did that but they make some strange sounds, but i dont have a tesco's near me so not been able to take them back....got them when visiting some family

I have these, there from E-Machines, They don't have a volume button so at a set volume, and i think the left one has a dodgy connection as it seems to come on/off when i wiggle the lead. There not the bestest of speakers but cheap.
I'll do these for just £2.50 posted.

Ok, no worries just thought i'd offer. There probably best suited to use with sub. You can normally get some cheap ones from www.ebuyer.com. I bought some philips ones for £4.99 there and there ideal for what little use i need them for.
Thanks

Supermarkets are the best bet.

If you use ebay, these are less than a fiver (item 290351363385)

Ebuyer are cheap, but the postage will bump them up to twice the price.
