I have a fat standard PS2 which i am looking to mod. I am after either a mod chip which i can install myself or for a pre-modded PS2, fat or slim, that i can buy and then sell my standard PS2.

Not sure who much these go for as i havent used a PS2 since the 360 came out! But my 5 year old wants to start playing so i'l giving him the PS2 to keep him away from the 360!

Let me know what you have to offer and how much, and thanks in advance

I was just looking at fitting mod chips, they look very difficult to do in the PS2

http://www.volumerate.com/details.vr/sku.60006 Quite difficult to fit if you are unsure what you are doing, instructions here: http://rapidshare.com/files/134074707/V4-diagramme.rar.html

Wasnt looking to pay that much to be honest, like i said its for a 5 year old so he'll probably break it in a few months

I have a M3 Magic Mushroom chip laying around...
#7
how much you after?
#8
ive the swap magic disc's
#9
didn't really want the swap disks, wanted something he could do himself without me having to go change the game every time hes bored, lol

You should go down the hard drive route. no changing of games at all. this is great for kids.

This will cost more but well worth it in the end.

Whats this with the HDD please explain? I want it to be simple for him as possible cus as kids do they just ruin everything! His DVD collection is scratched to high heaven and half of them dont work so id rather something like this least i can replace them easier

Anyone?

The hard disc is easy, just buy a regular IDE hard drive(the old fashioned kind, buy a ps2 network adaptor and either a boot disc or do a softmod(I can do it for free)

Just send me a memory card and I can put the software on it and all it does is load the hard drive software on startup then you select the game you want.

To put games on the hard drive the easiest way is to buy a usb case and slot it in and connect to pc.

Far easier than it sounds

Im going away for the day soon so if you are interested but get no reply dont worry.

Yeah ive looked at this but it seems an expensive way to do it. The network adapters are £30 plus the price of a hard drive on top. When i had an old PS2 chipped when they were the 'in' console i only paid £40 for a chip install so they must be a lot cheaper now, albeit now illegal
