I managed to break the head of my dyson dc08 today and now the clip on it has broken and wont stay on. I need a head for a dc08 animal or a normal dc08 should fit. maybe you have a spare lying round after getting a new hoover?

If your Dyson is having a few problems I am pretty sure you can send it in for a service which costs about £49 and any parts that need replacing will be included in that price.
#3
not sure i just know its easier to just get the right end or i could end up paying a fortune until i get one that fits lol
#4
its not having any problems just this, its recently new and i did call as its under guarantee still but as it was my fault they want to charge me god knows how much for a new one

By head do u mean the floor tool. If so I have the red yellow purple one from the DE stijl dyson, its brand new. If any good.

Maybe call them again, if it was recently replaced then speak to another advisor and complain.
Or try eBay if nothing on here.

Ellen, do you have a pic, probably best to ask how much first. I need to see the end that connects to teh hoover to see if it looks the same as mine thanks

theyre over £50 on ebay..i think i would call one of these places sell 2nd hand ones or a bootsale.
Either that or call them back and explain its not your fault the clip failed. I had a dyson 'animal' head broke 1st time used and Dyson replaced-2 weeks later they came out and replaced the full roller as it was making a noise and was faulty. Worth pushing?

i dont know if i have the guts to call again as its al recorded down it was my fault so i shouldnt expect them to change it free really

best if you post a pic of what you want rather than everyone posting theirs ;)

Do you just phone dyson about the service? Mine is about 6 years old and has a few problems so £49 would be a good offer. Do you have to pay postage or drop it somewhere?also how long do they take? sorry not meaning to hijack the thread

Final Reminder.

I know the intentions are meant well, however unless you're making an offer then there's no real need to post in this thread.

OP - If you're looking for a new part you can request this to be moved to Deal Requests, otherwise you'll have to be Ultra Specific in your request. I can't let this develop any further as it demotes other members listings.
