I am looking for a single cordless telephone, no answer phone or fancy features necessary but preferably DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) so the sound is nice and clear.
I would like it to have a half decent battery life, have the ability to go quite loud on the sound settings as my hearing is rubbish, and a reasonable range to it can be used on the patio in the summer (if we ever get one). Speakerphone would be a bonus.

PPG preferred but can do bt as well

I have a BT Hudson 1100 DECT single handset, colour screen, no answerphone, with handsfree speaker available. Was plugged in for about a week, but only used once or twice, so got put back in the box.

Hi, a bit more than I can spend right now, thanks for answering my question about the h/aid though.

Sorry, it's going to be a present for my parents house and my mother wouldn't use it if it was orange, and I'm not kidding! Plus more than I'm able to afford right now.

Thanks, could you please tell me how old it is and if you possibly have the box? Also can you tell me what the battery life is like and if the volume (when listening to people on the phone) is quite quiet or can go quite loud? I would be giving it to my parents and they don't have broadband, would it work just as a normal landline without the voip? Are there any marks on the phone? Gosh, sorry about all the questions.

Its about a year old
there is no box (WYSIWYG) but will be well wrapped for postage
batteries are good (2x rechargeable aaa)
volume to me is normal (not too quiet/loud)
no damage to phone - maybe the odd mark from normal use & maybe some dust

and according to amazon
Technical Details
Needs to be connected to the internet

i have had a look and get the impression that it would work for as a traditional cordless landline phone if not connected to a computer and broadband.
Does it work for you as a landline when just plugged into the phone socket?
I am really interested if you might be able to answer the questions about the age, box and battery life. Sorry for all the questions and hassle, I just want to make sure it'll work when only plugged into a landline socket. I think this one could be just right :)

Thanks for the info, it sounds good, would you accept £7.50 including delivery? Second class would be ideal as I've had to go away for a few days. ppg would be the most convenient for me if that is ok with you?
I'm on a usb stick to access the internet at the moment which is so slow and keeps on crashing/losing signal so I won't be online much, but I'll try and log on later tonight and tomorrow to see what your reply is.

So sorry, I never saw you had edited the reply.
I didn't realise it would be so much to post it, I think I'm going to have to say no as I'd like to spend a little less than that in total, it's been an expensive month and they go a little cheaper than that boxed on an auction website. Thank you for your help though, I do appreciate it and sorry for not getting back to you earlier, I kept on looking back on the thread but hadn't seen the edit.
