Hey...

This is a feeler for any crazy folk who got a Dell Mini 9 delivered for £99 and want to sell on for cost or a small profit.

Long shot, but if you've been following the thread, a few have commented they may not require their's etc.

I second this thread - if somebody has one spare for sell please PM me, as I would be interested in buying one. I'm based in London so if local I can easily come in past to pick it up and pay in hard cash!

I don't mind this thread becoming an open one for others to ask - as long as I'm first :)

Lets face it... no one's gonna be interested hehe.

Don't blame you :) Out of my price range I'm afraid. I'd say good luck with the sale, but I don't think you'll need it.

they said it was a business order transfered me to another department.

Then they transfered me to customer care.

ask them first to transfer you to customer care.

These dell people ask if they can help you.
they take your order number, details. then they just transfer to another person and your waiting on hold.

Its taken 5 minutes and im still on the phone waiting.

then customer care advisor

and then they told me to ask for the sales team after they transfered me to the sales team i had to quote a number which is-
*****

Revaphi- customer care

after talking to the sales team- useless people, they transfered me back to customer care.

6th transfer of call.

WOSRT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

management team-
have stated and confirmed those laptops you lot have received they will be taking back.

So shame on those people that have received it.

if i dont get my mini laptop you lot wont also.

i was on the phone for 30 mins.

Dell team will be knocking on your doors to collect it.

Dell have quoted- not even a single laptop they will give for £99. It was a pricing error.

Managment have looked at this issue- and they will be taking the laptops back

KNO1 WILL be getting it.

READ MY COMMENTS ON PAGE 80 AND 100 ON ORGINAL THREAD.

Do you mean to say: "It's a shame for those who have received it already because Dell might try to get it back." ? The way you expressed yourself sounds like an accusation (i.e. "shame on you!") ... :?

Wow, what a rant, although their customer service can be frustrating at times.

Be pleased that others have got this, don't let your jealousy consume you.
#23
So have these been sent out? Not sure if Dell have a leg to stand on if they have already supplied the goods and payment has been taken. Perhaps someone will come along and clarify this? I hope everyone who gets them enjoys their laptop, good luck and fingers crossed for you!!!!

i could rant more, almost 6 weeks and i am still without my order from outlet. Dell themselves havent been in contact with me for almost 3 weeks, I've had to ask the bank to do a chargeback. Useless company. their service has 2 levels....good.....and non existant.

As stated, I know peopel have bought items for others on here before, including myself, but also I realise this is a step further.

So I wouldn't pay anywhere near £200 on principle, but wouldn't mind someone making a small amount.

Seems no one's wanting to sell though!
#26
I would pay 99 plus postage costs may also stick in a little more for the kind person who sells me one..if their is anyone willing to sell that is!!

There are several people wanting to sell on the rpoints site, but they all want £200 collected! They can go and find another mug...

I don't blame them wanting to sell... but to sell for £200 on sites like this just seems a bit wrong (And to be fair - no one's tried)

Willing to pay £150, . IMO they are not worth 200 let alone the RRP.

May I politely suggest you create your own thread?

While this is an open topic, for other people to "join the queue" - to outbid me, and others is not on.

I've requested your post is removed, for this reason.
#29
So you think someone will sell one for 99 quid??
Get real. If they can sell them on Ebay for 200 why would they sell one for 99, or even 150 for that matter.

Edit: I have removed post and will create my own. Good luck.

They probably won't - but there are SOME people on here, who would do just that - just becase they are nice friendly people.

Looking at some of the gloating comments on that thread, I doubt that. Still maybe a chance.

Wonder what would happen if they were to sell, then Dell comes knocking on their doors :p

They'd have to shell out another £144 at least. If one does the math, that's a £42 loss :whistling:

Dell can't do that. If ppl have them them now, Dell would find it v hard to get them back.

Oh and Vibeone i didn't mean to hijack your thread mate. Sorry:).

hey i dont mind, as long as:

1) it doesnt go so off topic that the mods close it - its a genuine thread
2) you don't try and outbid me :P

I wouldn't do that, I'm not after one now as £99 seems to be all they are worth judging by the reviews. For 150 can get a similar spec Acer. Good luck on your hunt though.

By the way, I emailed some high-up people at dell, and although I'm not getting a laptop, I did get to speak to someone not reading from a script.

Basically, the randomness of fufillment was down to the time it took banks to authorise payments (some were instant at 12:30, some were slow even if you ordered at 11:30).

Anyway, they also said they were under no illusions, and knew full well any that were sent confirmation or shipped were lost, and they stood no chance of getting them back - so wouldn't be trying.
#37
dell = hell

stay well away

poor poor customer service and its a pure pot luck with getting a bargain laptop

an instance is that the day the mispriced mini 9 laptops went up on the dell website.

i orderd my £99 dell mini 9 at 09.30 my work colleague orderd 5 dell mini 9 at 11.00

he got all 5 (delivered the ery next day) and i got none :(

not only that neither did i get a order confirmation or anything

dell really havent heard of a queue, it looks like they process orders on a pot luck basis.
#38
It's the bank's authorisation, not a random basis - bitter much?
