Has anybody got a converter lead which will allow me to connect a PS/2 keyboard to a DIN Port on an old PC I got given today. I need one as the BIOS won't allow me to go any further without one lol..

I'll have a look for you tomorrow. Have a whole box of cables and adapters but not used one in a long time. If not is a DIN keyboard of use to you?

On another note why are you using a computer that's that old?

I'm not.... (well my main computer Isn't old) my main computer is a Core 2 Duo 2gb 250gb lol...

but somebody gave me a computer for free today and I fancy getting it working properly...

It got a FIC VA-503 mobo in it and is Socket S7 AMD K6 and has 32mb of RAM...... and thats about all I know..... lol... theres an AGP slot on it lol! Quite good for a PV made in 1998.... the funny thing is that it has both a AT power connector and an ATX power connector lol. :p

I would take a DIN keyboard but surely the postage would probably make it a bit pointless really?

TIm -Thanks for having a look for me :)

Yes used to play about with the oldies too. I put a 32mb TNT2 AGP in somebodies comp the other week. He wanted xp too but with his Pentium 90 it was so slow I had to use 2000pro. I dont know how people live like this.

I do have somewhere in the loft a dual processor board from the mid 80's had a 386 as main and a 286 for FPU and 16k of ram on 4 dimms the size of a small rulers. But the sadist thing is I put it in a frame on the wall like 3D art!

Actually would it probably be better if I bought one of these? That way I'd get USB which would open it up a lot enabling me to do more stuff including tinternet sticks etc...
