Well, heres the thing. My BT Home Hub is downstairs in the living room, and my Xbox is upstairs in my bedroom. Therefore I have to move it everytime I want to play Xbox Live. I have thought about the wireless adapter, but heard it also lags alot. So basically, I am after a 20-25 metre ethernet cable, to connect and disconnect when I want to. Can anyone help me?

Just google it mate or you can try ebay. I found a few 30m cables, they are around 12.99.

Dave

I have one of these..

Belkin Cat5e Snagless UTP Patch Cable (White) 15m

Only problem is it's 15m but it works perfectly with Xbox Live. You can get them on Amazon just try searching for this cable and you might find some different lengths.

dunno how much cable I have left but I could make you one for a good price. Would mean a trip up to the loft to check out how much cable I have left.

Stevie, how much would you sell for?

Not sure to be honest mate. Maybe £9.00 delivered or so?

It's the delivery cost that worries me because they are quite weighty. It's still in the bag because I bought it as a spare.

£6.56 30m

Yeah go for that one mate. At least you can get free delivery.

Be careful of the delivery charge though because mine was about £9.00 from a private seller! :giggle:

Thanks for the great find Sean, is that the same as an ethernet cable?

Yes that's the same as mine. Watch out for delivery though!

It 'exceeds' the performance of the Cat5e apparently. Not sure about that but I think it would do the job for what you want.

I have wireless but it gives me a headache which can't be a good thing!

It states the delivery cost as 2.75?
#12
You cannot get free delivery on Amazon unless you spend over £15 I believe.

#14
Just need to think of something you want for about £8.40 now!
#15

How about The Dangerous Book for Boys Yearbook to get your free delivery lol.
#17
My cable was around £2.00 but got done on delivery for £9.00!

Private sellers eh?

I would still go ahead and get this cable from Amazon Dave it's well worth it mate. Wireless is a pain it really is, the adapter is £50.00+ and you are looking at at least £30.00 for say a Bulldog Airstation router.

Then you have the pain of setting it up.. Which is another pain in the rear end. So the cable is the better option, although it's a deathtrap for any other people in the house! :giggle:

Thing is I was looking to try and spend under a tenner really, I thought they were available for around the 5 pounds mark, but was obviously mistaken.
#19
If you could wait maybe a week then no you were not
#20
I'd sell mine for £9.99 and deliver it now ;-) Nah dave, postage wouldn't be worth it mate if I sold it for less.
#21
Looking at around £4-5 for postage I would have thought but they do come with a lifetime warranty these Belkin cables. That doesn't mean much I know but they are built to last.
#22
Thanks for all the advice lads! Guess I gotta keep huntin lol
#23
Get it bought man!

Think how much the wireless setup will cost you if you don't! (at least £80!)
#24
