How old? What additional leads would I have to buy? Any reason why you don't use it anymore?

These things will be obsolete VERY soon.

Hmmm interesting. Any other box you could recommend?

I have a Sky subscription hence don't use it.

The cables that are needed are 1 swart from tv to box and a cable feed into the box.

Sont you need another connection for firmware updates etc?

If you intend to use with Virgin, then don't bother wasting your money. AFAIK the encryption has been upgraded

Virgin Media are rolling out the N3 encryption which is uncracked and has been in use in europe for over 3 years without a way round it.
http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/75069-nagra-3-faq.html
suggest you read this.

you might get a few days/weeks or even a coupla months out of a dodgy box before you get a message on your screen telling you that you aren't paying for your services and this message won't go away.

hows about you PAY for the cable services instead of stealing them.
thieving scumbag.

why should you be any different to everyone else that has to pay.

like what?

virgin do not allow the use of ANY unauthorised equipment on their cable network.
if you connect up another box, its against their T&C and constitutes breach of contract and theft of cable services.

BUY YOURSELF A LIFE

i have one but it doesnt involve stealing cable services.
I pay for mine.

i do like how theft of cable or satellite services are an acceptable form of fraud.

but Nagra 3 kills all dodgy boxes dead.

i notice your location says liverpool. Nagra III being implemented there right now.
so if you're expecting to see more than analogue 1-5 channels then you might get some for a few weeks.

Nagra 3 has made these boxes usless in many areas.

My kryptview is now being used as a door stop
