For IDE or SATA drive?

In that case, I've got an as-new boxed aluminium enclosure I've use for a similar purposes. If I can add my Kreon drive into my desktop, I might let it go. You don't happen to have a SATA 3.5" enclosure by any chance?

no, have an ide one that I could have swapped, but not SATA I'm afraid.

I have a KREON drive as well but so far been too timid to flash my xbox 360.

Go for it - timidity is no way to live life!

Do you have a link to the IDE 3.5" enclosure? I'm also after one of those :)

cant remeber where I got it from originally - think it was just ebay. Its pretty basic but works flawlessly on my old 160Gb drive (which is whats in it). Can post pictures if your interested...

Thanks - will get back to you if I am. First need to look around at alternatives. A dual SATA/IDE enclosure might suit my purpose better as I do a lot of disc swapping. Is yours easy to swap discs or does it involves screws etc?

its very straight forward - the end is just held in by two platic tabs - squeze them in and the end (with electonics) and drive slide out...

Actually, I might still go for the IDE enclosure and buy a dual one too, but I'd want you to add something your end. My caddy is as new and boxed, and I guess quite a bit heavier than yours (1.7KG in box I think). It has USB and Firewire connections and is plug and play. Only used 3 times with the kreon drive - lol - which I think I will probably also sell now. Lmkwyt and please post a pic if you are interested. If you aren't, I will probably list the enclosure and kreon drive together as a package.

Depends on how much your looking for on top - think mine has been used about half a dozen times to backing up my itunes library. It also comes in its vanilla box with all cables etc. It is as new as well. Yours will undoubtedly cost more to post though ...

SO what would you be looking for on top ?

I'll have a think about it and back later. Taking a Sunday drive into the countryside for a walk and lunch, so back around 3pm. Could you post a pic in the meantime? Thanks

Last photo shoes with the end open - loooks like I have chosen to screw the drive in for extra security, but I dont think that is required - it is held in by the springiness of the ribbon cable connecting the electronics to the drive...

Let me know if you are interested...

Sorry for the delay phanco - this is going to cost me £6.40 to post so I've decided it isn't worth it. I'm going to list the Kreon drive and this together as the postage will only be £6.85 by standard parcels for both.

How much for your enclosure?
#15
sorry - was only interested in swap - I'd rather hang onto it for now. Thanks anyway.
