just quickly scowered ebuyer.com and found the folloing 250gb WD Usb2 external HDD with free delivery for £54.79

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141559

I have a little personal experience of WD Passport drives and have found them to be pretty good. Also they dont require any extra power & are a nice size for taking around with you. hope this helps.

Yhanks for the offers but a little high for me guys, was looking to spend less and it does not have to be a portable drive, just one that connects via usb so an external desktop will do, seem to get more bang for your buck that way. ;)

Anyone else?

Im selling 2 external Hard drives on a certain auction site this weekend. There 3.5 inch IDE drives in external enclosures (not sure if its only portable your interested in)

Tthe 1st is a 200gb maxtor diamond max in an enclosure and the other is a hitachi 320gb in an enclosure both are 7200rpm and have only ever been used for backing up movies and music,Im looking for £20 for the 200gb and £27 for the 320gb price is before postage costs which I think would be about £6 - £7 but I would have to weigh the drive and get back to you if you are interested.

USB 2.0?

Never had an external to be honest, so with these enclosures do I just plug a usb cable in the back and away I go? Or do I need a power supply or something to plug into the back?

Yeah usb 2.0 both of them. They both have thier own power supply, plug and cable etc .They are plug and play with xp all you have to do is attach the usb cable provided, pug it in and power it on and xp will display it within a few seconds obviously as its external you also have the oppertunity to easily remove the drive from the enclosure and put it straight into a pc if you wanted. These work very well its just that im running out of places for plugs so im going to sell these towrds getting a bigger drive. From ehat I remember they are also plug and play with vista I will double check later tonight.Hope this helps

Ok mate, don't worry Vista does not bother me, will never be using it. ;)

I will take the 200gb at asking, maybe come to a deal and throw them both in for £45 delivered.? No PayPal fees as I will pay cash into your bank if you can do it that way. But if you really want PayPal I can do that no problem.

Just on the fly, where are you based? I could maybe collect?

I see no feedback, neither have I as I am a noob, lol. You sound genuine as it is not your normal type of item to try and scam someone with, lol. Touch wood. :)
