Hi I am after a faulty ps4 if anybody has one. Not bothered if out of warranty or if seals are tampered with. Usa consoles considered

Start price £100 for a console with a dodgy disc load or laser with controller

+£20 with controller
-£50 blue light of death
-£40 no power at all
-£20 faulty disc load or dodgy laser

Any other faults which I haven't mentioned please ask

The offers may seem low but a new disc drive would be £50 a new controller £40 a new psu £60 plus labour and the risk of it still not working fully after repair

Let me know what you have got
This is for my personal use only and not to sell on

just out of interest are either the ps4 or xbox1 prone to any faults like the last generation rrod and ylod?

Ps4 has been plagued by numerous faults even dead out the box or it breaking when your forced to do the software update on the first turn on. Also the disc drive and laser are prone to going wrong. The blue light of death also sometimes means that the chips aren't soldered properly which would need a reball (not reflow) which is a very difficult skill. So the ps4 tbh is similar to the PS3 ylod and xbox360 rrod. I don't know about the Xbox one I'm afraid though

Faulty disc loading can in most cases be easily fixed by raising the console a few mm higher by adding your own rubber feet, the eject button is to close to the surface the console is placed on and being touch sensitive will keep ejecting discs, this can happen straight out of the box or several months later when the playstations own feet have compressed, simply adding your own rubber feet to raise the console a little higher again should stop the eject button from thinking it is being pressed and it should stop it spitting out your discs, this can just happen one day out of the blue when your in the middle of a game, the disc will just eject and refuse to load.

no it hasnt been plagued by problems similar to rrod .

its had a couple of issues that Sony replace them for and thats it and that was with the very 1st batch of consoles(1st few motnhs).

the problem with the discs ejecting can be fixed by popping of the side and looking from top down in a side vent u can see a screw, you just give it a few turns clockwise and voila.
the issue is the screw unscrews itself(vibrations) as its a floating screw to manually eject the disc if it gets stuck in the console.

A lot are just out of warranty now or kids have picked at the stickers or people may have opened them thinking loose wire or something then realised they don't know where to start which means sony won't touch them due to the stickers
