I've got one I couldn't recover, so I hammered a nail through it to destroy personal information. It's just waiting to be disposed of. You want it? It will work well as a doorstop. Why do you want faulty drives anyway?

I'll take the nail out before sending :)

some folks try to get them working again, using parts of others.

i do but i run a PC support company, so if i have some faulty drives i mix parts & i might get a few working again.

but there might be other reasons why someone would want a faulty drive... most want the data off them but i all ways wipe or make sure they can not get it back.

subaru swift, you cannot offer items for sale that have been obtained via business links - please do not offer any further items for sale / trade that would fall into this category and you are unable to sell this item to this buyer. Also as a general note the seller must state an asking price for any future permitted items to might offer and members should only post if they are interesting in trading with the OP, not for misc chat/info as its classed as thread spoiling, thank you.

Apologies for the late reply.

Im just helping out my neighbours, who's son has started to show an interest in building computers. So he's decided to get him some faulty parts to put together for practising before he buys the actual parts for his build. Hes got most of the parts such as the motherboard, ram, case but hasnt got a spare hard drive.

In that case, don't you want my one with the nail through it? the actual size hasn't changed at all and the connector parts are absolutely fine. I'll make it cheap, basically the price of recorded postage. You won't get a better offer for your stated purposes.
