What makes you say that? aren't they reli cheap to run?

If you're looking for a little run around... try a Toyota Aygo (they weren't affected by the accelerator issue) but emissons are really low. and as they have little street cred (not sure why) they are cheap on insurance too....

If you’re looking for a nice cheap reliable run around your best bet is a toyota yaris.

I had a 99 plate Ka from brand new and, never had any trouble with it whatsoever till i sold it last year. It was nippy, whilst having a low insurance group 1.3 group 3 i think. And the back is actually quite roomy. The new ones, however are awful!

Many earlier are becoming rotten now, something about the metal ford used then, same with fiesta's etc. Fairly reliable tho...no common headgasket etc issues....

I also wouldn't go for a Ka - I had one for a couple of years about 6 years ago, it was 4 years old and had started to rust, the central locking had broken and I had the suspension replaced (I think it was supsension, it made a horrible grinding noise turning corners before it was fixed). I had my latest car MOT'd yesterday and the mechanic said that while he usually rates Ford's for reliability and are cheap to fix when they do go wrong, the Ka doesn't live up to expectations and he'd never recommend them. Can't recommend another small car (as growing family meant i got something bigger).

Thanks for all the knowledgable comments peeps! ok so i'm gathering ka's are not the best, toyota aygo does seem like a nice little car i may look into getting one of those! :)
