Hi,

got an ASUS 8800GT 512mb, used rarely for the last 3 months so basically as new. Stripping my PC atm, built it up but got an evening job so don't get the time to play it. I am after £80 delivered for it tbh so let me know if you are interested.

Hey bubba, would be interested in this, you after straight cash or do you have interests in trades for PS3/Wii/DS/PSP/HD DVD stuff?

Hi, sorry I'm after cash, decided to use the money to build a HTPC that I will get a bit more use out of.

Ok, thanks for the info in the PM! When you say no adapters what do you mean? Would this just plug and play into the PCI slot in the mobo?
#23
An adapter would be required for the PCI-E power connection if your power supply doesn't already have it and a DVI - VGA adapter would be required if your monitor is VGA only.
#24
Mine comes with an adaptor - fully boxed...

LOL - Mine is £55 though...

#27
LOL - Yours is also a GS model which doesnt really compare to the GT.

With less memory could this also cause problems running at higher resolutions the OP would want to use on a 26" screen??

Just an observation
#28
Ok chaps, performance wise, who's is better?? :)
#29
just google the alpha dog and compare

The Alpha Dog XXX's performance in Need for Speed: Pro Street was even better; its minimum frame rate at 1,920 x 1,200 was 39fps, which is 13fps faster than a standard 256MB GeForce 8800 GT card. This is incredible, as it's also faster than the suposedly far superior 512MB GeForce 8800 GT (which scored a 38fps minimum in the same test). This makes us suspect that the updated driver for the GeForce 8800 GS might be responsible for some of its extra performance.

There you go...
#32
That article is comparing the GS to a 256MB GT. Mine is a 512 version which would perform far better.

You didnt read the article then...

You will need a power adapter for it (~£2 on ebay). My PC had this already so I didn't need one. I should be able to find a DVI-VGA adapter if you need one.

For specs, look here as well - http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce8.html
