WANTED GIRLS DRESS FOR FAMILY PHOTO GIRLS 6YR AND 10YR.

A photographer friend has offered to take a family photograph and i need pretty dresses for both my ginger haired girls ages 6 and 10. any offers appreciated, as cheap as possible as they are normally tomboys. so this is likely to be a one off dress up.

incidentally, they dont have to be the same design, or will take one at a time if the offer is good enough, your waste is my want, very eco friendly.

knowing my monsters, at least one will have a mishap before we even get a photograph, and i would be crazy mad. nice idea if had the pretty and gentle ladies had dreamed of years ago. gotta get the boys kitted out too but they arent as bad. is gonna be stressful, kept putting it off for years but have set my head on getting it done before they get old enough to be married, lol.

when is this for? my two are 7 and 10 so will have a hunt through their stuff tomorrow and get back to you (the 10 yr old is really stylish so has very nice dresses) - if i have anything that doesnt fit them ( or that the 10 yr old wants to part with as your wanting for 10 yr old ) i'll let you know will take pics and if you want them you're welcome to them as long as you cover the postage! no guarantees as i haven't got a clue what they have until i go searching!
#4

hi, i think it may be too wide for her, shes a skinny one, though the length would be good. think the straps may keep falling down and if so she wont wear it for any money. gonna have to keep hunting. great price though, pity it wont do.

I was in H&M today and picked up a girls summer dress for £3.99,they had various designs and colours, they were not on a sale rail either.

sorry about delay - been forced on trips out and been getting back late - the small one has gone through her wardrobe and has found one dress - will put pick on image shack in a minute and the other one will be sorting through hers as soon as she's finished her homework - so probably tomorrow - hopefully this one's ok for you - but im sure i'll be able to find some more stuff over the next few days! http://img195.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=001bgi.jpg (will wash dress before send too) is it just dresses you want as theyve got some nice skirts too?

yes thats exactly the kind of dress i think i can get her into, i was wondering about a second outfit indeed but i guess that depends whether i can get them to change, i guess more is better than less, in case something happens like they take ill or spill something. if you have the time i am interested in anything as i say. all my mates have boys well older or younger than mine, so no use for outfits, thats so my luck lol. they all footie mad and dont want footie photos after all this effort.
#20
yeah times not a problem, my mate the photographer can do them anytime in his studio, just waiting on the nod. thanks for having a hunt. did a hunt myself, now kids no clothes, and gone to recycle. too bad for most charity shops. haha, what a pickle.

pity ur not jensons mum a few tickets woulda been nice, lol

have found a totally gorgeous dress - lovely red one - will take pic of it tomorrow when i've sorted it out - unfortunately there's a rip along the seam at the front - some careful stitching should make it unnoticeable and if it's just for pics for one day it should be fine - but it is totally fab - will get the pic up tomorrow and it should fit the 10 yr old so that'd be one for the young one and one for the old one! if it's no good that's fine but as i said for one day it should be fine and it is really gorgeous! (just taken some pics - cameras a bit pants so will get some better ones in the day just uploading them now so will put the link on when theyre done and will get the big one to model the dress tomorrow so you can see what it looks like with a child in it! (never get the full effect without the child!) http://img29.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=011kqk.jpg the close up pic is of the flowery embroidery detail over part of the dress - it takes a better picture in the day time) if i find anything else will let you know too!

we live on a farm so even their reg clothes arent snap friendly, and have enough head shots to do me a lifetime.

the girls attitude is prob only temp they were quite girly before, and i forgot to get a group picture. dont want to leave it much longer as the older teenager probably wouldnt pose for a photo, as doesnt appreciate the value of a family picture, at her age.

have plenty of ordinary shots just not good enough to put up really, as one is always messing, they wont do that when it is more formal. at least they dont normally.
