I'm after some decent golf clubs, dont want to pay any more than £100 for them, and dont really want a pile of crud, so something half decent.

Anyone got any available?

If you dont have them already, then lessons will help you in terms of distance, not changing the clubs necessarily. Technique is 95% of it 5% is the equipment! I am the head teaching professional at a golf centre and when i use clients clubs for a demo even the oldest set of clubs work with the correct swing!

good advice from cantona, but if you wanted extra distance you would need to go for blades but they are gonna set you back over £100 quid and even then you would need to have a solid swing in order to hit the smaller sweet spot on a blade

this guys got some taylor made blades for sale and some mizuno ones

Without trying to sound pedantic blades will not give you extra distance over cavity back clubs, in fact i would say the opposite is true. Bladed clubs are made of forged metal and are easier to shape shots (low, high, draw, fade) but have to be struck out of the centre on a consistent basis so are only recomended to lower handicap golfers (single figures). Cavity back clubs are more forgiving to hit and provide similar maximum distances to bladed clubs but are not as "workable" ie. it will be more difficult to shape shots but off centre hits will tend to fly better than with blades. If you are beginner to average handicap golfer you are better off buying a slightly used set of top brand clubs, like the callaway x12's e.g. item number130390755900 on ebay rather than a cheaper set of new clubs.

Actually, its 50 percent width and girth, 50 percent action baby.
