Old Motorola L6

Even if it does have GPS compatibility, the screen would be way to small to work with comfortably. Maybe time for a new phone, but if using as a phone as a GPS device, does it not require you to go online? I'm a very light mobile phone user with a PAYG sim that gets topped up every 3 months, so might not be suitable for me.

I have a nokia 5800 and use GPS on it all the time, you don't have to go online to use it. The only time you need to go online is if you have to use the assisted gps just to find where you are. As of yet i have never had to use it.

I think I might have a Garmin GPSMAP 76C knocking about somewhere.

Would this be any good if I can find it?
#5
Maybe, to be honest I know nothing about these, so I'm going to check some reviews of the GPSMAP 76C.

If you could let me know the condition and how much you would be looking for it that would be helpful.

It's boxed and somewhere! It's hardly been used. I'll see if I can find it. What do you have to trade?

I'm doing a bit of reading on the GPSMAP 76C, so far it seems like it'll handle what I need it for, so if you can find it there is a potential deal.

For trade, I have a plethora of computer games across pretty much every format, some computer spares and various electronics. Before I try listing everything, is there anything your on the lookout for?

Not really interested in computer games and happy with computers. What electronics do you have?

From memory, I've got a surround sound system that is brand new, a Linn Kivor Tunboks music storage and distribution system and a TV/DVD combi unit. There will be more, but it'll require a trip to the loft lol.

Any idea how much you want for the GPSMAP 76C?
#10
I'm after another portable sound system think its called a Streeet machine Boombox (with usb host). I can get one for £68 so would put any money I get towards that. I've found the unit but can't find the software.
#11
I've got an IXOS Disco cube which is brand new if thats of any interest? It's an Ipod dock and speaker system.

As for the Garmin, Is the software already loaded onto the unit, and it's the backup discs your struggling to find? Or is the unit dead at the moment without the software?
#12
Trying to find software.
#13
Okay thanks, let me know how you get on.
#14
Think I've found it!
#15
Great, can you check it powers up okay, thanks. Presuming it works fine, are you interested in IXOS disco cube above? if not, let me know how much you want for the Garmin.

Does it take flash USB sticks?
#17
I haven't even opened the box (it was a gift for a family member but go them something else) so it's sat fully packed up. From what i've read here http://www.ixosdiscocube.co.uk/ipod_compatibility.php it's an ipod dock and speakers, no mention of USB inputs

I've not got an ipod.

The wife teaches gymnsatics and cheerleading. She carries all of her music on flash USB sticks that's why i'd like to buy the aforementioned boombox and the cheapest I can get this is apparently £68. At the moment she uses a JVC boombox (RDHA-3) that cost us nearly £300. An idiot martial arts teacher broke her remote contol, in rage a couple of weeks ago, proving that the JVC is just too much of a liability to use around 'the public'.

No iPod here either, though I did notice that the Disco cube "accepts Generic MP3 Players via 3.5mm audio jack", so if any of your wife's USB flash sticks has an integrated MP3 player it should be able to hook up to the Disco cube via the headphone jack.

What's the closest you can get to £68?
#21
My opening gambit was something in the £30 range
#22
Got to pop out now. Will have a think. Cheers.

Okay, no probs.
