I bought a HP laptop cheap recently but having issues rebuilding it, I will give it a try tommorow and if I cant will have parts, its a pavillion one so not sure if suitable it is a 6xxx series too I think.

I've got a pavillion aswell, not sure on battery as the mobo is dead, but was told all was ok.

ryouga, is that the damaged one you bought, what issues you having? I would buy it to make 1 from the 2.

Dont know yet, it worked fine when I got it but there seemed to be a loose connection on the screen as it had no brightness and even on a very bright hot day I could make out a tiny bit of writing, though it worked fine connected to a monitor.

Have taken it apart but its difficult toi get back togehter and I bent the keybaord a bit and also cant get some buttons back on as the white plastic bits have come off and though I have put them back on the buttons arent staying on or popping in,

Do you have a spare keyboard as OP doesnt seem to need one.

yes I've got a keyboard, but was hoping to get a mobo for it,
sounds like your making it worse, I don't want it if you ****** it up, lol

Lol, the laptop shouldnt be a problem I had similar issues the first time I built a desktop took many attempts before I did it right, these days I can build a desktop simple.

The keyboard should still work if I can pop the missing keys back on if not will just use a usb one everything else works.

It should be easy to rebuild if I can be bothered just time consuming lol, have you any advice on rebuilding laptops?

Sorry for hijacking thread op,

if either of you end up w/out rebuilding and have a working battery spare i'd be very grateful if you could drop me a line :)

I've got a couple of batteries, get the number off yours, also got 2 lan modules get the number of that to if you still want one.

ryouga, sounds like my best advice is, leave it alone lol, harder to do than pc's, smaller and fiddly, and expensive if owt breaks

Mine are different numbers, and look different, I have actually got one of them, it's in an older nx6110, and for an old battery it lasts ages, but not for sale I'm affraid.
