Im posting this my blind sister who is after a talking ipod, so she can used it to listen to mp3's on the go. The only way to to make this happen is to flash the firware from a site http://www.rockbox.org/ and then install some voice software.

Long term she wants a large IPOD but for now to see what the voice software is like & how easy it is for me to install it as iv got on knowledge for flashing any firmware.

So for now just want to get a very small (1GB will do) cheap ipod to test the software on But it dont work on every type of ipods so please list below

"Apple: 1st through 5.5th generation iPod, iPod Mini and 1st generation iPod Nano
(not the Shuffle, 2nd/3rd gen Nano, Classic or Touch)"

So if anyone has one, that they might be willing to sell/part with can you please let me know how much you want for it

An dont worrie about adding postage cost as you will be posting it direct to my sister house & you posting things to blind people is completely free of charge

Cheers

Yeah it has talking menu's

An 8gb nano is £109 everywhere I think although you can get one for £79 here

Thanks for that il have to let my sister know she could get one for £109 as i dont trust marshall ward with discount codes etc.

But could still get a cheap one to test the free software out with as long term it might be cheaper to get a bigger in size 2nd hand ipod & use the free software.

But il give my sister the choice of what she wants to do.

Thanks again for your help rep added

Mine is Greyscale too...It's got a few light scratches, etc but has been in a silicon case most of it's days! Got it Christmas 2004 from Mummy and Daddy, and it's now used soley with a docking station for the sitting room. I have an 80Gb Classic these days for taking out and about

Spoken to my sister,

she is willing to confirm the deal with you for the 20GB Ipod, But she now wants it sent to my house so i can take it to my cousin's house who is willing to flash it for her.

SO i no the P&P is no longer free as it would be if you sent it to her house direct. So are you still able to post it to my house for £40 inc delivery??

Also what payment method would you perfer?

Cheers

Yeah, £40 including delivery to wherever sir requires. I can accept Paypal (by gift payment), bank transfer, cheque, postal order. Whatever is easiest for you. I would prefer Paypal or Bank Transfer (Natwest).

Will get it boxed and ready today
