How would i find out what amp it is? Thanks

This site said it's a 2.9
amp http://www.bestlaptopbattery.com/b.cfm/iridium/starbook-510/TI1506.htm

and this site said 3.15
http://www.batterypowerplus.com/store.php?f=view&item=1990&brand=Dell&model=Inspiron+2200

What would happen if it's the wrong amp?

When the laptop comes you can have a look at the sticker on the bottom that should say the voltage / amps, or you can email the seller and ask them to tell you what voltage / amps the old adaptor was.

You have to use the right adaptor otherwise it may burn the circuitry of the mainboard if it's too high.

ok thanks. How much would you want for it?

If i have the correct ac adaptor for your laptop, how does £10 inc delivery sound?
#7
Would you accept £7 delivered? Thanks

Suppose so why not

Thanks, I'll pm you when i find out what amp it is and we can go from there if that's alright.

you should also check the size and polarity if the jack.

i have a hp charger here, same jack size as a dell charger, just wont recharge a dell.

Good point shane i forgot that bit  the polarity is the overall size of the connector to make sure it has contact with the pin inside the laptop enabling it to charge. ( iguess thats what shane means)
