I have a Sony Bravia 32" hd lcd. got it over a month ago from the thread below:

Has had very little use of it. Its up for sale and will come with reciept to give you remainder warranty and the box and everything as new.

I am looking for £300 - it more than your budget but let me know if you are interested.

to be honest you would be lucky to get £80 for a crt tv nowadays as nobody wants them
i was in the same boat 5 years ago
i bought a 32" award winning philips crt widescreen tv cost me £2150 was about 10 years ago great tv though
when i come to sell it couldnt get nothing for it and that was 5 years ago when the price of plamsa/lcd were still high, now you can get a decent lcd for silly money like the one ive just bought a philips 47" ambilight 1080p lcd for less than £1000 and thats not at the cheap end of the market, 32" beko lcd were less than £200 last christmas from argos, i know cos i got one as a pc monitor / games tv for my spare room
you can either take the loss and almost give it away or have it as a 2nd it in the spare room etc......

op where are you based??
#12
Burnley, Lancashire.

I got a 28" Philips CRT with stand, flat screen, integrated freeview, original stand, etc. Was in use until 3 days ago when our new LCD arrived. It's now in my study and it's just a little too big for the small space. You could have it for £50 if you collect it from Lancaster.

I have just seen the same tele in the ASDA christmas special book for £549 :)

So I think £300 is as it is a bargain for a month old tv.

Yes, could probably do that. How far are you from that Preston exit? I'll need to get photos up for you and model no etc so you can see if you like it. Think you will though - as long as you don't mind a heavy CRT, it's a great TV. Are you in a great rush for delivery or can you wait a week?

Now you answer; have your other deals fallen through? :)

Seriously though, just checked RAC and it's 104 miles return. Not sure that I fancy that actually - back later with an answer and pics if I do

OK mate, well.. would be prepared to pay £75 all in for it.. if petrol is the issue. But yeah, let me know as soon as you can. Available most weeknights too, so whenever suited you really.

Will be back later on tonight.

Time is more the issue than petrol costs tbh - although the extra £5 is appreciated :) Let me think about this until tomorrow if you don't mind

I'm really in two minds about this. I'd 90% like to get rid of the TV but I'd also 90% not like to do the return trip! Will def let you know in the next few hours though. Thanks for your patience.
#25
Sorry to interfere but it looks like the problem could be remedied if VanDutch could get a lift with someone and meet halfway or something?

Been there, done that quite often. Car is uninsured at the moment now tho, looking to get something a little cheaper to run. My mum's car isn't big enough (Fiat Seicento) to fit a tv and stand in, and she doesn't like motorway driving as it is. All mates that drive either don't have the boot space or just couldn't be arsed..

Decided yet..?

Argghhhh! Quick question first. When is the latest you can have it delivered? Thinking of my schedule here....
#29
Latest..? Hmm.. say a week on Sunday?

Ok, in that case give me another day to see if I can manage it. Should be ok though - but I need to confirm something tomorrow evening first. If you find something in the meantime NPs but I suspect this will be ok.

Yeah that's fine. Like I've said, there's no immediate rush, so don't worry about that; just keep me informed.

Ok, have been thinking this over during my suspension for inadvertently adding an extra bump to one of my threads :? and I can't find a time that suits to do that long drive. Just too much happening these days to fit it in. It's a pity as I'd like to get rid of the TV and probably won't get another chance. Sorry, I know that must be disappointing but the 100+ miles drive isn't very appealing either, even if I had the time. Good luck with the search
