Need a decent LCD (or even plasma) TV with freeview. I'm not that worried about getting a model which lacks a few features. It doesn't need to be 1080p for example. So if you are keen to upgrade to a state of the art box but have a good quality set to get rid of first, let me know the details. I'm willing to pay up to £450 delivered for the right set, and ideally it could be delivered by the owner (we are based in the NW). It must have component and hdmi connectors, freeview tuner, stand and it must be a good make - ideally something that has rated well in a number of reviews. No obscure makes or models please, and nothing that is more than 2 years old. Thanks.

Don't bother offering anything that doesn't rate decent reviews

I will pay up to £450 for the right TV and stand delivered. It would obviously have to cost a decent bit more than than new. Ideally though I expect to pay less than that.

you don't happen to have a stand with it? (I doubt it but no harm asking!)

ok, I'm going to look around to find some reviews. I was hoping for a samsung  and have little knowledge of hitachi - but if it seems like a good one we might be able to reach a deal here.

do you live in the NW by any chance?

didn't realise vistron had sammy panels - thye make such cheap products, I have always had the impression they are carp. But you think they are just like low-end sammys? the specs are stripped down (inputs, resolution, etc) but might be worth looking at review at this price. Thanks

May not be what your after (probably not judging by your earlier responses) but Beyond Television has 32" Samsungs for under £370 delivered (latest model) and 37" ones for a little over £450. Never looked at anything else, have purchased from them twice in the past and just about to buy another TV from them. TV's always delivered in less than 24 hours as well!

There is just thr tablestop stand with mine, but im sure it is wall mountable.

One thing about the Vistons is that they may have sunsuing panels (which I dont rate anyway) but their controllers are not as good and that results in a worse picture quality. just read reviews before buying anything!

Hi - I have a Hitachi 32" 32LD8700U.

I'd be willing to deliver it to the NW for £300 if you're interested? PM me if so.

1080i, Freeview, 1 HDMI, 2 SCART, PC, Composite & Component inputs.

It gives an excellent picture via the freeview, my DVD player and my (ordinary) Sky box. Just looking to upgrade to 1080p as I've now got an HD DVD player.

It's got 2.5 years left on the guarantee.

Very light - ideal for wall mounting. Comes with wall mounts as well as a stand.

please post the details anyway, but it's too small as the main tv - might consider it as a 2nd screen if the price is right though :)

I got a 32" Samsung. Its the same one you know in the game and gamestation they show the demos on the 360 on. Thats the 26" one mine is the next one up, 32" the same style. It was bought in Jan looking to upgrade paid £650 for it from play.com. Built in freeview. Picture quality is really good and looks amazing on games like gears of war and ps3 metal gear solid, blu-rays etc.

It's the LE32R74BDX model in 32". For delivary I would get a courier to pick it up from my house then deliver it straight to where you want. I'm not sure how much im looking for to be honest just make me an offer.

Also just to let you know still got original box, remote etc. and kept in really good condition, no marks or scrathes at all on it, cleaned every couple of days for dust lol.

Well, you aren't far away!

But I'd like to know about your feedback elsewhere etc first. I'm not going to make a large purchase of someone I don't know here. And where are you based?

I just bought a samsung 32 inch a456, delivered today. Absolutely fantastic and came in at £361 delivered, paying a little extra for faster delivery so you could get it a few quid cheaper, after use of a £10 discount voucher at pixmania and also got about a tenner in quidco tracked.
Great tv with all latest things like 3x hdmi, 2x scart, HD ready, freeview (really good reception compared to set top box we had before). Looks nice, fantastic picture and works very well. I think it's a bargain. 2 year warranty with pixmania and it's sent through currys home delivery so UK stock and no problems at all. Good chat/reviews from the av forum thread i read about the tv. http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1084476/art/samsung/le32a456-lcd-television.html
Also delivered today from amazon was a nice glass/chrome tv stand. Took 20 mins to put together and is sturdy and looks good. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Levv-Glass-Stand-Plasma-Chrome/dp/B00111OK3A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1221628102&sr=8-3 £55

Thanks guys - rep left! Going to look carefully at both today. The one HDixon got sounds especially good, and I've already had that amazon stand in my basket for a while too, so good to hear it matches & is easy to assemble
