hi i'm looking to get a girls fish tank only a little one too get started she's only 5 . Been told you have to have a filter with them now instead of the old bowls :( . If anyone could help it would be great.

Petsathome.co.uk have some for £20 as kids starter sets.
I got one for my LO for her b'day and she loves looking after her fish.

Please be aware these tiny tanks are really NOT sutible for goldfish as they are far to small and goldfish are VERY dirty. Some small Zebra danios may be ok in these starter kits but thats about it.

Ahh really? i was looking at getting a gold fish :S hmm.

I used to keep one in a round bowl no filters , im only twenty one mad how things change haha

so what tank is best for gold fish?

some goldfish grow very big so a small one wouldnt work.. Ive for quite a big one with quite a few but im guessing the one from aldi is fine as it holds 54 litres, mind you fishes do need alot of care ( water changing etc)

yeah well we thought we could have the fish and feed them then her dad can clean it haha. He has marine fish or what ever they are called clown fish and that so he takes care all them. Havent actually told him yet haha

What fish are best to keep as 1st fish ? xx

We have a clear glass fish bowl with 1 goldfish in it, we bought this about a year ago as my girls love their grandads big fish tank but we dont have the space for a large one and i dont want to be left changing water etc lol!
