I work in a library and quite oftem have these in the sale for 50p to £1 each. We're just finishing the last sale and might have a few of these left i'f you like me to look. I get adult talking books for somebody on another website. They'll be ex-library and might be scuffed or broken boxes but should be still good enough to listen to. So if you don't mind the 50p to £1 +postage i can check what we have any get back to you?

Again, not sure about the area that you live. But the library where i work does loan children's audio books to children for free and we have tons of the things. Sadly they're very under used :?

Hi Littlesheepy,That would be great if you could look for me.Unfortunately our library doesnt have a very good collection and my son can get a bit obsessed with things and it would sometimes be hard for us to get things back to the library!!

Thanks monkeymadness, but our library doesnt have many story cds at all.

i assume your son attends school or some unit? these supply lots of items for children or you can get them through your network support or home partnership organisation and these will be free and you get them on loan which is good as you go back and just swap them for more so you will have a continous supply, if you are not sure how to get in touch with these places just ask your sons support teacher who will give you all the details you require.

Thanks for that, but like I explained before 'borrowing' isnt really an option as my son gets really obsessed with things and can get very distraught giving things back.Thats why I would like to build up his own collection and then he can listen to them as many times as he likes.

Just had a nosy and there's nothing left at the moment. However, if you wish, i'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know if anything comes up, as things turn up for the book sales all the time.
Is it just CDs you're after or would tapes be any use?

We've got a few put aside for the upcoming book sale at work but i can have first dibs if any of these interest you. They're all CDs, in vaying conditions (but should be perfectly playable) and mostly come in the big 'library' boxs not retails cases. So i can send them without boxes if you prefer for cheaper postage. A couple are discs only.
Think they're normally £1 each in the sale but will have to ask my supervisor for definite. Would want whatever they cost plus opstage and if you wish to donate a little extra, i'll donate it to my local animal lifeline, like i do for somebody else i get talking books for

Having a look on amazon and a couple of websites, i think these are probably the best
the french confection - anthony horowitz
city of shadows - celia rees
invisible! - robert swindells
nothing scares me - gene kemp
fergus crane- paul stewart and chris riddell
the blak room - gillian cross
hatchet - gary paulsen
the archon - catherine fisher

disc onlys -
true disaster stories - terry deary

There's a couple of 'ghosty' ones but nothing over the age of 14, so should be fine for him. The archon is the 2nd part of another book, so not sure if that's of interest?
