I have one I can let you have for £8 posted

it is a mini PCI-E BCM94312MCG

works in my MSI Wind U100 and seen as a airport extreme card

but cannot 100% guarantee it will work in your Dell.

are you sure the stock card does not work?

I would check your stock card first - I am sure the 1490 is a Broadcom based card.

I have never seen mini pci-e cards that are Mac OSX compatable much less than a tenner TBH
