Wanted - Media player enclosure (case) for a hard drive
My media player case has stopped working but my hard drive is working still, So im after a media player case if anyone has one that they are willing to sell so i hook it up to my TV & watch my films
Prefer a case for a IDE hard drive but will consider a case for a SATA as i can get my hands on a sata hard drive if needed.

Thanks for the links, i was hoping to get one asap & when iv ever ordered from dealextreme things seam to take there time getting here

Yeah that should be ok, can you please confirm the spec of it -if yours has the record function on like the link you sent me. An that you have all the cables for it still & the case is not damaged at all.
It dont matter about it being a SATA il just have to take one of my spare SATA drives out of the PC & use that

No worries, never been used, only unscrewed as I was curious to see if it was SATA or IDE.
All cables are unused, remote control is also knocking around . . . .
Will round it all up and get back to you :)

Never really thought, if I find everything and i'm happy it works ok - £20 delivered?
Yeah £20 is great, if you can confirm that it works ok - ie plays on your TV, not worried about the recording part, just as long as it plays the AVI files etc on tv il take it off you

To keep thread updated, have landed home, will check in a little while after the domestics have been done etc. :)
Plugged in (just to the AV sockets on my office TV - powered up and tried remote, seems to work fine, don't have a usb2 device to plug in or a HDD but its recognising that theres no HDD attached - remote works - erm, let me know if theres anything else you want me to try (ps - Fri/Sat/Sun is a heavy weekend ahead, so please bear with me! :lol:)
as you are busy & not got a hard drive to test it with, how about this il pay you £12 now & after iv tested it with my hard drive & it works ok il pay you the other £8.
Or i by the looks of it there is a memory card reader on the front of it, do you have a memory card to try & see if it plays from it.
Not a big problem just wondering if you still got the the manual for it in case i want to learn how to set it to record. Which i wont need to for a while as iv got a V+ box at the mo, If not dont worry about it il just have to have a play around with it

This I can test tomorrow, have an SD card I could copy an avi file onto and check . . . . :)
yeah that would be great, hope you didnt mind me asking its just my OH will kill me if i spend money on things that dont work lol
Any chance of a update on this please? OH is moaning she wants a media player so she can watch her films in bed when iv got the football on.
If i dont hear from you soon i might have to try ebay but i know thats going to cost me a lot more
