Do you have a half decent PC / Laptop?

How many tracks are you looking to record at the same time?

If you do I would highly recommend a focusrite saffire 1010 or some firewire based solution! I've owner a few devices (most recent Yamaha AW1600) there great for carrying round but you will hit a stage where you can't progress. I do quite a lot of audio recording. tell me what you want to do and i'll help you best I can.

I do alwo have a fostex line mixer. You would mix on that and just record it straight into a pc or something. only disadvantage is that you can;t really mix it later, it is great to record a band practice though!

Hey Ovenglove thanks for the reply. Well I need to record 1 vocals, 1 guitar and drums. But they dont necessarily need to be recorded at the same time, I'd be able to layer it. I have a really good dell laptop, high spec. I just want a portable small mixer to be honest. I have narrowed it down to the two mixers in the description, their also within my budget, which one do you think would be suitable or please, offer me an alternative. Thank You very much

I'd deffo get the

MR348433 - PEAVEY PV8 USB - 8 CHANNEL MIXING DESK WITH USB AUDIO INTERFACE

Mainly because you get 4 XLR inputs!

If you find it as chep as you can and then contact GAK or DV247 the will beat / match it and there great companies!

Just check that they will work with you OS ok (32 or 64 bit)

That might be your only problem!

wow that mixer looks great, would you say the quality of recording would be better than the Peavey?

I have a behringer amp, it's really good tbf. I honestly don't think you would notice any difference. behringer isn't a no name brand and the kit i've seen in the past is solid!

Thank You very much for your advice, I will keep an eye out for a good deal and I will buy a behringer :)
Once again thank you, Rep added
