got a 2006 model. Never had RROD, old 7371 kernel, was going to mod it to use as my homebrew unit but too busy. Can be JTAGGed if you want to go down that route. Never had RROD and has MS xclamps still intact. Got it from here few weeks ago for £60 so looking for same amount

I have a xenon board Jtagged with no history of rrod though I have replaced the xclamps with xclamps from a hdmi model (better cooling). Has freeboot flashed to it with 9199 dash. Can also include a 20gb hdd with freestyle 1.20 (more stable than 2.0) already installed and the nand is flashed to boot to that. All you would need to do is plug an external hdd in and places games etc on it and your away to go. I was going to stick it on ebay but if I can sell it here that would be cool :D Make me an offer if your interested and I as I have no feedback on here you can check mine out on ebay - reeso2000 94 feedback 100%

What would you be looking for this. Defo interested done on it already. Mine ideal for enthusiast who wants to learn but I aint enthusiastic about doing it so would prefer one done already. What price you looking at as a starting point.

You take £50 delivered, possibly a bit of a cheeky offer but gotta start somewhere

Cant blame a guy for trying lol. Your honest opinion to pick one of these up and start from scratch exactly how much work involved. i.e hardware costs, time and hours spent, research needed. Tempted to do my own but just seems like a lot to take in and hardware work involved seems painful

Aplogies for what seems to be a slight hijack of OP thread, apologies

Firstly you need a decent soldering iron, solder and I found braid a life saver (I had to buy a new iron and tips and even solder as mine were not upto it lol) . The diodes and resistors are cheap enough you can get them from maplin for pennies. Making up the parallel cable isn't too difficult but of course you have to solder it to the mobo. The reading of the nand (takes a few hours as you need to do it 2 -3 times) checking it and flashing the new one can be a bit nerve wracking the first time - my very first attempt the flash failed halfway through for no apparent reason and killed the xbox :s (I have since jtagged a few successfully without hitch) Once you have the 360 up and running with the jtag in place etc its a matter of placing the folders to run freestyle/ping removal etc in the correct places and re-flashing the nand to allow these features if your original image didn’t have them (as in my case) . I spent a good few hours/days researching and checking stuff etc before attempting it and further research to get freestyle dash to boot instead of the original dash etc. And of course a steady hand and nerve is a must for the soldering :D
I think it helps if you are of a technical nature etc and are into problem solving etc - I must admit a few times I thought of getting someone else to do it for me as it was time consuming and frustrating when the nand didn't read properly or nandpro could't detect the nand and you have to check all the solder points with a multimeter and I had to try 3-4 pcs till I found one that would read the nand etc. But I got there in the end and one other thing to note the hdmi model have 1 solder point thats quite difficult to actually get it to stick to!! (especially if you’re a novice).
I forgot to mention that my jtag also has a network cable located under the top cover (not visible externally) for easy re-flashing in the event its required (though most can be done via usb stick once it’s been flashed). I also removed the r9t3 resistor to stop an update completely screwing up the 360 (you would still need to re-flash the nand but if the r9t3 is in place and you update it will cause an update that prevents the jtag – check google for details) . The dvd drive is also flashed to play backups

What are you after exactly? a jtag or just a modded dvd drive? and what you looking to pay?
