Looking to upgrade an old PC which currently is running an Athlon 2800.

Anyone got spare bits? Don't need to go to the latest stuff, looking to spend around £70 or so at most.

Thanks

Do you want an AMD or intel setup? Single or dual core?

Do you already have a graphics card or are you looking for on board graphics or do want a graphics card as well?

Any more detail on what you have at the moment?

Hi I have a Asus M2N4- sli motherboard with a amd 64x2 duel core cpu ( not sure of size but lower end of the range) with a 512mb stick of ddr2, no on-board graphics and takes a pci card. I woud like £50.00 for it, I'm in lincoln and would prefer collection you could then see it running. its in a system at the moment.

Not worried about Intel or AMD, single or dual core as long as it's faster than what I have :p

I could use my existing graphics card, this isn't for gaming but thanks for the pointers, hadn't thought too much about it.

Any idea what CPU speed and RAM speed it is? I couldn't collect unfortunately, a bit far.

2 sticks of Crucial, DDR2 533 1GB RAM and an unknown speed AMD Sempron (I took it out and there are no mention of what it is on the top of the chip) have got the fan aswell.
It is a A2 chip I think (if that makes sence, am new to all this stuff).
The chip was carefully removed and placed in the box of the new chip I popped in, I know for sure it is single core, and think it was 2.8Ghz, but cant be more specific unless anyone can tell me how to check it without putting it in my PC :)
Looking for £30 for the lot including delivery, mobo you will have to sort yourself though chap.
