WANTED: Netgear DG834GT Wireless router/modem

I'm after a DG834GT router by Netgear. If poss, I don't want a Sky branded one really, but if its cheap enough I may consider it - providing I can find a way to flash it to standard Netgear firmware.

Also, because half the ebay auctions are marked incorrectly as the "GT" I will need to see a piccy of the underside label to confirm the model number.

Please state your price :)

Do you know if that means the telnet server is unlocked (ie: not password protected once debug is turned on)?

are you selling or just offering advice?

Don't understand all the technical stuff above, I do have a spare Wireless router, model BT Voyager 2100 (silver) for £15 + postage if you're interested. If you require any further info let me know.

Sorry I'm only interested in the GT, as there is a way to force SNR and noise margins which I want to have a play with.

Have also hopefully come to an agreement in another thread. Will request this thread is closed when this is confrimed.

Have a SKY DG834GT complete except PSU, yours for £15

Unfortunately the agreement mentioned didn't work out - I got confused and I'm also a moron. Sorry to the other guy for messing him about.

Tillboy:

2 questions: 1) does it work? 2) I suspect my existing PSU will work, but could you give me the voltages and maybe a pic of the plug?

Currently untested, I bought it to do exactly the same as you but ended up buying a Drayek 2800, to be honest I've only just realised there's no PSU as I've only just opened the box that's been sat in the cupboard for about a month.

Would be happy to send to you for you to check out then you send the cash if happy, saves me the aggro of having to track down a PSU and test it.

It's should still be running the Sky firmware, so will need flashing with TeamGT or whatever

Sure that sounds good, but I would have to flash it immediately, as I don't believe they run at all on Sky firmware with other suppliers? If you are happy with me doing that, then testing it (ie: making sure it connects basically), then paying, I'm happy too?

Sorry for the delay in replying - this site is dying on its **** currently. Whats going on?

Glad it's not me, been rebooting everything!

You're right, you'll need to flash it first to get rid of the crippled Sky firmware.

PM me your address and I'll send it to you

Hey,

In hindsight, the netgear branded one you offer, with the box etc would have been more to my liking, but I have agreed with Tillboy now, and it would be unfair to go back on that now.

I will check with him that he is happy to go with things, and will consider your offer if Tillboy's falls through.

I'll go for £20 - the other guy can't post til monday, and is happy for me to discuss other deals. I would rather have a boxed one I guess (or at least PSU).

Is it definately a DG834GT?
