Age more important than condition but must be pre 1999.

The usual suspects wanted...freemans, grattan, argos, ikea, lookagain, kaleidoscope, debenhams, littlewoods, kays, marshall ward, gus, great universal, additions, j d williams, la redoute, boden, speigel, vertbaudet, empire stores, etc...

Cash paid , well... via cheque or paypal and obviously including P&P.

So, have a rummage around, have a clear out and get in touch please.

Cheers,

Terry.

Hi imyontour,

I'm a bit of a collector - there's no other publication that offers a snapshot in time quite like a catalgue. From fashion to toys to housewares to shoes to gardening. Some of the things we used to wear and use around the house are unbelievable and highly amusing. I love them.

Unfortunately, Readers Digests weren't in the same league, far too much reading involved, so I'll decline your offer for the moment.

Thanks for replying though,

Cheers,

Terry.

Damn! I had a big clearout not long ago of Argos and Index catalogues - they did date back 1999 aswell! Its silly but I kept them when Argos change their catlogues to see what was on offer on the old one :p

Hi gary_rip, I know it's odd...and weird. I put it down to working for Freemans/Grattan and one day finding a 1973 Freemans and I couldn't put it down.

For someone who was 11 at the time, it was a fantastic step back in time looking at all my old toys and the clothes I had to wear...very funny.

As a publication, they're quite unique and great conversation pieces at parties and family gatherings.

The collection isn't that extensive as it would take up quite a bit of room so I tend to cherry pick alternate years and so far I have about 20. But getting hold of catalogues from the 60's, 70's and even 80's is very hard even considering where I work.

There must be other collectors but I guess we're few and far between...

Hi Terry

I have just come across your old thread and wanted to let you know I share yor interest.

I'm new to this area myself but wondered if you had thought about scanning in some of your collection and sharing it with others?
As I have just started looking for stuff going back to the 70's and 80's myself I can't offer anything to trade as yet but would like to know what you have so far? anything from around 1974 would be especially interesting to me as I was 15 at the time!

Regards

Jay
