Wanted: Paper Mario (Gamecube or Wii)

Looking through various threads for GC games and using them to check reviews on gamespot, I just know that this one is perfect for my two kids. Just their kind of thing. It seems to be difficult to get hold of though. Hopefully someone can help me out. Can pay or swap other games (wii, gamecube, ps2) or other items you might need.

Added: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - another one I know they will enjoy.
- Liddle ol' me

I'll also consider Pikmin (GC) for a swap.

EDIT: Picked up Pikmin from bazzaric so don't need Pikmin 2 any longer

You might struggle with Pikmin 2, its fairly rare as is paper mario.

Hopefully someone will be able to help you out :)

The first Pikmin is better than the second, plus easier to get hold of. I Paid £25 (Ebay) for paper mario on GC about a year ago if that helps.

Thanks for the info guys. Good to get a positive review of the first. I was basing my thoughts on the gamestation review which rates the 2nd more highly, but if you think the 1st is at least as good, I might well go for that. Any yes, saw that it is a lot cheaper/more available. Thanks again

I would just add that you should try your best to get Paper Mario, it was one of the best games i played on the gamecube. I actually played it and finished it after about a week (only playing a couple of hours a night, its not a long game) but i didnt get bored once.

Thanks again for that. In the meantime, having looked at prices (!), I'm wondering whether I might as well get the wii version of SPM instead. (I'm playing GC games on the Wii). If anything, it seems to be cheaper than the GC version! Would you agree this is the best option if you were faced with both at the same price?

You can get the gamecube paper mario from cex for £24 here liddle
not sure whether that is a good price

thanks for that dd - bit steep for me. I've seen them going for similar prices on ebay but the someone sold the wii version for £13-£14 here yesterday, so I'm using that as my guide.

p.s. 3 discs on way to you today

as if I didn't know :whistling: did u see my message on the other thread? My friend Mr KF would not be amused that I forgot his poem :p I'm thinking about Pikmin instead of pikmin 2 after the previous comments, and given the price/scarcity of p2.

What's your price for me on pikmin then? Your current listing price is more expensive than a couple of current BIN prices on ebay, and I've got my eye on a couple of open auctions too.... ;-)

EDIT: I was hoping you'd reply first, but just bid on ebay item number 320248618873 and was pipped at post. It finished at £4.22 + £2 postage...

The Wii version will be alot cheaper, its a newer and not as good. The GC one is what i would go for.

I've got both the Wii And the GC versions and i dont think theres much in it really. Just that i prefer the feel of the gamecube controller over Wii and nunchuck combo.

Thanks for that  Hmm ... I'm coming around to the cheapest is best; that was my gut feeling anyway after reading 3 or 4 reviews.

UPDATE: No longer need Pikmin 2 after buying Pikmin from bazzaric. Anyone got (Super) Paper Mario?

the main reason pikmin 2 is better is because there is no time limit

the first pikmin you had 30 days (day / night cycles within the game) to complete it which made it feel rushed and you couldn't explore at your own pace

if you can get it for a decent price - it is worth getting

now you tell me jq - you're a bit late to chip in. Feels like it took you more than 30 days and nights :) btw, nice to see you again - I remember a thread left hanging; I should take a look again...

You never know; I might be. Why are you asking? :)

i would like to but my brother is still playing it on hard mode - there is a lot of replay value in it

amazon have it at a good price http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B000QSBSLQ/ref=dp_olp_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1210327179&sr=8-1 it is worth getting - trust me, the difference between the gamecube and wii version is immense

Darn! Never knew Jon Snow was such a baaaaaddddd singer. :-D Trust you? Right.

I've finally learned to look at the bottom left of Explorer for the real destination.

I'll never believe another word you say
