Im looking to spend around 20 quid ish (perhaps a tad more) so nothing crazy priced please

i know a few have been for sale on here over the last few months including one chap who had 2 for sale at £25 and 30 (so if you fancy £20 let me know) but i cant remember who it was

I have a PCI-e x16 slot, GeForce 8400GS 256MB (Supports upto 512MB). Would do it for £22 - thats including delivery and Paypal fees.

For Sure!
£20!!??!!
How about you wait til you can scrape £45 quid together and then get an 8600 GTS Geforce?
Can't see the point in wasting money on ancient or ailing video cards when you want to play a game as decent as Tiberium Wars which really should be played on at least an 8600 (or of course a good 6800 series at worst).
Back in my day people would spend £100+ just to play Dark Forces or the original Command and Conquer (or in fact Doom come to thing of it) so £20 is a bit stingy!.

Have you actually looked into the gfx card industry these days...prices of them are falling. The gfx card I'm selling can play Crysis on medium settings (which I am very proud of).

without directly going loopy - your clearly bonkers

its not the money that bothers me - its the fact that i dont use my pc as a gaming unit - the card that was offered on here was a X800XT for 25 quid, a friend of mine has the same card which plays Kanes wrath maxed out

Also as for cards costing £100's of pounds - i invite people on here to remember 1998 - a voodoo 2 card (12mb) only cost £120ish - and i had 2 running in SLI

also the original command and conquer will run on anything!

Meadsy - although i like the card - they are 20ish new - sorry

Actually C&C3 runs not badly on an 8400m with a C2D 2.2Ghz (XPS M1330), played many long hours on it without issue.

Not loopy or bonkers just trying to ensure you realise £25 for a video card aint exactly gonna give you anything with a lifespan!.
...but then being as you recall how much it cost to get a decent set of voodoo's together you ought to know this.
As for C&C (the original). It was one of the first that needed 8MB ram (although I seem to recall that also being the case for Dark Forces) and it was the cost of memory upgrades I was referring to not video cards!. Yes you're right in saying no real video card spec requirements to speak of though.
C&C3 may well play ok on the 8400 but another £20 odd quid and it would play more than fine. But hey don't let me influence that already made up mind! :p

I'll sell a HD 2600XT 256MB with GDDR4 RAM for £32 delivered. This performs better than an 8600gt and is up there with an 8600gts. £30 if you use bank transfer.

OP...I did drop the price of my gfx card to £17. Comes boxed, manuals, driver CD (although you'll probably get it from the internet) and can post tomorrow.

Nope sorry. At £28 I think I'll just keep it as a backup card.
